In short: I'll never get bored of this one
In full: My third time running this race, and having grown up in Hastings, I always look forward to it. Once again it didn't disappoint, despite the Arctic weather conditions. Loads of local supporters braving the cold to line the challenging course, with kids high-fiving the runners and handing out sweets. The organisation once again was absolutely superb, and the medal is something to behold too.

In short: Not for the faint hearted! A perfect London marathon warm up!
In full: This was my first time at The Hastings Half Marathon. I did it this year as my pre London warm up. I think lots of others did too.

It was well organised, the race kinda ran it's self though. No problems at all with organisation.

The course was very steep and hilly, so I would only recommend this race to the advanced or Elite. I did se lots of people struggling.

It was a real shame it was so cold today, and I am glad the race went ahead, because the weather was very hit and miss today. Thank you for letting the race go ahead. It was well worth getting out of bed for and the 2 hour drive!

The only thing I would say, is there was no goodie bag, which is always a real shame, especially after a long race. Also no Jaffa cakes? Biscuits etc? Maybe next time? Please?! Its so nice to have a Jaffa cake fix at the end of a long hard run, so maybe the organisers can consider this for next year!?

Will be back next year! Thank you! RECOMMENDED! 9/10

In short: Worth turning up for every year!
In full: The best half I've done so far! Amazing crowd who give support, oranges and jelly babies all the way round. Loved every minute and smashed my PB!

In short: A must do race
In full: My second go at this course. Yes, it's challenging but somehow I managed to gain a PB here despite the sudden blast of warm weather and tacking that hill that seemed endless. The atmosphere and support is incredible. It's very well organised and supported. Nice to speak to the some of the numerous people who had come across the channel to take part. Fortunately I'm fairly local to the race, but I too would be prepared to travel a good distance for this one.

In short: The course is different to last year, adding extra hills rather than the nice run round the fishing huts was not the greatest idea by the race organisers. Bring back the old course for 2013! Great medal though

In short: The 12th Man!
In full: The residents/supporters were absolutely magnificent - I am so grateful to them for being there and making a noise and supporting, they really spurred me on.

The race is tough though, really tough!
