In short: Tough first half makes this an interesting race
In full: Very well organised popular London preparation. Tough first half with long 2-3 mile incline in first 5 miles but then some lovely downhills in second half. Good support despite grey clouds and drizzle. Well organised drinks stations plus offerings from supporters of oranges, bananas and jelly babies.
Pleased with my time as 4 mins quicker than Brighton a few weeks ago although no monsoon. Big heavy ledal, shame no ribbon on it though!

In short: Excellent race and fantastic support from the people of Hastings
In full: My third time doing this race and the hills in the first part are becoming more challenging with age. But the support from the crowd all the way round the course is inspirational, thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us on. Another nice day down on the coast, definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for an enjoyable half marathon experience. Will be back for more next year.

In short: Very testing, but I loved it! :-)
In full: This was my first half marathon, so I was little anxious about the hilly start, but although it was hard work I really enjoyed it. The support throughout the whole course was magnificent and kept me going. I found the last 2 miles very challenging - I could see what loooked like a bouncy castle in front for ages! - I kind of wish it was, so I could just collapse on it at the end!!

Very well organised - would highly recommend.

In short: Why did I forget about that hill???
In full: Second time here, and 5.30 quicker, so must be doing something right!!! Either that or the magnificent crowd support makes you find another gear!!

The best half I have run - from great organisation, fantastic crowds, to the marshalls and scouts who were outstanding!

Big question for me: Why can't Brighton learn from this? It wasn't just the fact that the weather was better, but even the parking was only £3 rather than the £16 we got stung along the coast!

Can't say anything about toilets etc as was in the pub before and after so all great as far as I'm concerned and will definitely be back!

Well done and thank you to the organisers and all concerned!!
