In short: What a difference from last year!
In full: Last year was a good enough first effort. Few probs with delayed starts, boring course etc. Coventry have obviously listened to the feedback and have turned this into one of the best events I have run in a long time. Much better course with parkland scenery for much of the way, well signed including warnings at sharp bends, well placed drinks stops and very good support. 9 seconds slower than last year due to recent injury affecting recent training but that didn't take enything away from what was an awesome event. Excellent job Coventry. I'll be back next year.

In short: Much better route than last year!
In full: Course: Varied route made it quite interesting & the hills were challenging. I just wonder if it could be managed with a little less zig zagging near the end?

Good: pre-race info pack, t-shirt that fits!, friendly marshalls on course, facilities at start/finish, crowds at start/finish, high-vis mile markers

Improved: start arrangements, impact of local road closures

In short: Once again a really well organised race + i got a PB!
In full: A much better course this year, enjoyed the off road parts through parks etc. makes a change from running all the race on roads. The cheerleaders at mile 8 ish where really good to see i think more races should have them a definate boost. Did not expect there to be the inclines that there where, slightly challanging but fun. Will be back next year to do it all again

In short: I didnt think this was going to be hilly...?
In full: How wrong was I!!
Good race though but the most uninspiring course, are there any nice parts to Coventry? We didnt see them yesterday. Bit down about it all as it was my worst time for a half. But the positives: Very well organised, support was great all the way round, a big thank you to the lady who was giving out mars bars with 3ish miles to go (they'll be wrappers blowing down that road for weeks to come!) I think all races should have cheerleaders.
Think Ill be back next year to do a better time,
Nice medal for my medal pot : )

In short: Felt like they'd been doing it for years - not bad for only the 2nd time.
In full: Very nice atmosphere at the start. The wheelchair racers were in for a shock - the road surfaces were terrible. I doubt if they finished (and if they did, they deserve a week off). Course was very varied, with quite a few inclines (you can't call them hills). Support from the locals was impressive - if slightly bemused, "You're all mad," being a typical comment. I particularly liked the cheerleaders at the University of Warwick. Woo woo! Turning onto the Kenilworth road and seeing the runners stretched out for a mile or so in a dead straight line was a great moment. I also greatly enjoyed the loops at the end - gives you a chance to see who you are running against! The finish was very nicely organised and there was a good crowd to cheer you home. Thank goodness we missed the rain! Well done to the organisers - the race is a credit to the often-maligned city of Coventry. I hope to be back again next year.

In short: Very varied scenery, challenging hills and good support
In full: Th chip collection wasn't great but everything else was pretty smooth with excellent marshalls and volunteers. Ran through parks, on tracks, suburban roads, schools and the ring road. Goody Bag and Shiny blanket at the end.
