In short: Charge of the Light Brigade re enacted !!!
In full: Someone yelled charge and we were off! One of the more unusal but exhilarating starts I have ever been in. The mass start down a stubble field indicated that this race was going to be tough but fun and it was. I would recomend this to any runner who wants to have a go at multi terrain as it caters for all types and abilities. The tea/coffee and cake at the end is always most welcome.

In short: Great off-road race.
In full: Weather and under-foot conditions made it a great day to be running in the countryside. A bottleneck at the start due to large number but also meant strong competition over the whole 7 miles - a great race.
Could have done with a second drinks station.
