In short: Very good race, lots of marshalls - and actually liked shoe bag presented at finish
In full: Good race, probably more suitable for club runners than 'fun' runners. Course quite challenging with some 'undulations' that slowed most people - and a few gusts of wind that slowed people as well (altho' cant blame organisers for those!) Lots of marshalls. Some may criticise shoe bag as finishing momento - but actually I think its quite useful.

In short: Good course, lacking organisation this year
In full: Fourth year running for me and the best for weather by far, bit of gusty wind in the open country lanes but otherwise great.

The race makes you work hard for the first 4 miles while you gain a bit of height, then flat for a couple of miles before you drop down and lose the height. At mile 8 there is a short sharp hill but not too bad, and then a final generally downward coast back to the start/finish area. Its a good run with a bit of challenge in it.

However agree with some of the other comments, a megaphone at the start is definitely needed, water at mile 7 was a help yourself from containers and no cups apparent, yet there were generally plenty of marshalls, who were all very good, and the momentoe at the end was woeful. If you are going to give a single item I think most runners would just like a medal, not a polyester bag, similar to the cloth bags that most races seem to use as their goody bag at the moment.

I'll still do it again.

In short: great course and superb organisation and well marshalled
In full: Only niggle was that the 2nd water station around 6 miles was unmanned and would mean losing time and places to take a drink. Otherwise this was a fabulous race and provisional results were on line later in the afternoon.

In short: Ohhhh the hills were steep.
In full: I took a drink with me so the manless second water station was not too disappointing but I know others were more upset. The start was strange as there seemed to be no indication it had started. The finish was fine, I even sprinted at the end. No medal, just an empty sports bag. Hmmmm, I would have preferred a banana.

In short: The race has a reputation for being tough but if you get your tactics right and the weather is good a PB is a possibiltyy

In short: Tough course and unmarshalled 2nd water station a bit poor
In full: Not the easiest of courses made tougher by little niggles.

In short: enjoyed running 10 miles, hills were a challenge.
In full: Shame about the lack of water at 7, good race and a challenging course.

In short: Chaotic finishing stretch, dog walkers, children in way of finishers.
In full: Like many events, lacking a simple megaphone at the start. No one can ever hear what is being said at the start. Then the claxon did not work!
