In short: Some long hills but still quick in places. In full: Great turn out this year (around 700 apparently) so took a while for the field to thin out.
A bit wet and muddy round the reservoir section - which was fun - cracking support from marshals and crowds gathered at the end.
Just that hill to deal with just before the finish - cruel!
Really liked the back-pack give away too! Date of review: July 13, 2009

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable race In full: I enjoyed this race. It was a good route which left me feeling satisfied. Undulating but not overly hilly. Nice touch with the souvenior rucksack. Big thanks to the organisers. Date of review: July 12, 2009

In short: Harder than I remembered! In full: Very well organised & well marshalled race. The route is undulating with quite a tough final third. Nice souvenir. Plenty of water stops which were needed today! Thanks to Abbey Runners. Date of review: July 12, 2009

In short: A bit harder, hillier and hotter than expected In full: A great race although quite undulating. Fantastic scenery, marshalls and support and very well organised. The hot sun made the last couple of miles hard as did the slightly uphill finish but I really enjoyed it Date of review: July 29, 2008

In short: Great Race in a Beautiful Part of the World! In full: Great race, well-organised. Unexpected sunshine made last 3 miles bit harder than expected. Great encouragment from marshalls and public. Friendly, chatty atmosphere. Loo queue a little long at the start though! Nice mug at the end- a useful momento, hurrah! Date of review: July 22, 2008

In short: Oh, you mean flat for Yorkshire!!! In full: I had been told somewhere that this was a flat 10 and was a little shocked at the hillyness. Still once i go over the shock i loved every sun drenched minute of it. Well run all round even if there was a massive queue for the gents.
Can't wait for next year. Date of review: July 17, 2008

In short: Warm sunshine, nice views, "fun" hills In full: Abbey Runners should be very proud of themselves for this excellent event. Nice to see what appears to be a relatively rare summer 10 mile race.
Favourite moment was seeing the face fall on the chap next standing next to me at the start when his friend corrected him "no 10 miles, not 10K" Ha ha! A close second was the rather sorry sounding starting horn.
Maybe moving back home South soon, but will definately be travelling back next year for this magnificent event. Date of review: July 15, 2008
