In short: Would I do it again - I did do it again. In full: Last year was my first time and my 2nd ever 10K event. Great scenery but hellish hills. Last mile good for a real blowout downhill finish. Date of review: January 25, 2009
In short: Very hilly to start with. In full: This race was described as undulating, in fact the first couple of miles or so were very hilly. The final stretch was a god send, as it was downhill for the last mile or so. A well organised race with very good marshalls giving plenty of encouragement. Will be back again next year. In short: Undulating doesn't even begin to describe this incredibley hill run! ! In full: The hills just keep coming - as soon as you get to the top of one and see the descent you are staring right down the barrel of another humdinger. Fast finish, all down hill for about a mile. Careful at the end tho - starts on a hill, ends on a hill! Date of review: January 25, 2009
In short: hills, hills, hills.....lots up, lots down.......well worth it.... In full: A great little race in a stunning setting, hills aplenty but a great atmosphere and great organisation made it a race I'd run again....certainly blows away the January cobwebs.....phew...! In short: A very unforgiving race but challening In full: Well organised race, nice memento instead of daft medal. Friendly marshalls helped you along the gruelling race. Well done to Meltham ac for putting on a good race. Date of review: January 25, 2009
In short: Challenging hilly race - especially in windy conditions like today! In full: Some longish uphill sections (we are talking pretty steep too) buy you the reward of a mile long downhill pelt to the finish, although look out for a nasty 200metre sting in the tail!
Really well organised and very friendly race, with decent facilities too. Will be back if I manage to forget those hills - and the windy conditions before next year!
Just got home with aching legs, but a smile too. So a big thanks to the organisers and marshalls from me!
