In short: A great event - fun and uplifting
In full: A well organised event that would suit all ranges of competitors. Good and close parking in the hopital staff car park.

Course is a mix of undulating hills and flats - so reasonably fast (a new pb for me this time). Some bits are tricky as it requires a mix of jumping on and off the pavement.

The pace car is a good idea for the runners at the front. It gave more of a sense of occasion and keeps the local traffic at bay.

Fantastic support in many places along the route. Also the marhsalls were quite bubbly.

Could be better if they used chip timing. i'm not sure the results get posted online so you need to make sure you record your own time.

In short: nice run. cheap medal though.lots of people and well organised.not sure why being sponsered by a fish and chip shop to raise money for a cardiac unit made any sense though.

In short: All sorts of runners having a fun morning out for a good cause!
In full: From the group warm-up onwards, it was clear this was going to be a fun race! Great atmosphere amongst the crowd, which varied from the serious "under 40mins" group to the "longer than 1 hour" fun runners at the back of the starting road.

Running on a mixture of closed main roads, quiet suburban roads and wide pavements, this was as good as you'll get in an urban area. The hill at 5KM was gentle, but, err, awkward! But a flat run last couple of KM to the finish with some great crowd encouragement in the last few metres, even for the back markers!

One I'll go back for next year with its atmosphere and great cause (all money to the hospital fund raising).

In short: Lovely morning out
In full: A very organised and friendly little race, it's not often I find myself chatting to the deputy mayor in the queue for a pre-race cuppa! Hillier than I had anticipated during the first 5k but it made for an enjoyable challenge. Good support from the locals on the way round - apart from the numpties reversing their cars off their drives into the paths of runners or trying to edge out of side roads. Can't you wait 20 minutes or so to start your journey once we are all out of the way?! Nonetheless it was a super morning out in the sunshine and I managed a PB, happy days!

In short: A will organised race which despite being "towny" was actually quite a pleasant course.
In full: Pleasantly surprised by this race, although the course was very much around the houses they were mainly wide, clear roads and not too twisty. Although undulating, nothing too severe - and what goes up must also come down... so quicker than I thought it would be. A fair level of support from the locals too even at the far flug points of the course.
Finally, thanks to the organisers, I think they put on a good race today.
