In short: Brilliant race again- well done!
In full: This was my second year doing this race, again I could find no fault. Don't be put off by the small entry list, this race will convert even the staunchest 'big race' junkie.

Loads of parking, easy to find and more or less straight out of the industrial estate where the stadium is into the countryside.

The canal path section is lovely, the fist half is flat, the second half less so with the two hills oft mentioned elsewhere definitely challenging!

Support varies from Sunday morning dog walkers and bike riders (all of whom get well out of the way) to the residents of the odd village the route takes you through.

The scenery really is gorgeous throughout, what a shame to see the British Legion Club gutted by fire though.

I've PB'd both times I've done this race so it must be a quickie, even with them there hills. I will be back again, and again, and again.

In short: A well organised event with a challenging course
In full: The first half of the race is nice and easy and scenic. Then you get to the first hill which wasn't as bad as I was expecting (after speaking to some Fractioneers from previous years).

However the second hill was difficult to say the least. It just drains everything out of you and even when I got to the top I didn't have a lot left for the last 1-2 miles. That makes it a challenge, which is good and it will set me up with confidence for the rest of the year.

I am definiltey planning to be back next year

In full: My first time at this race, and it won't be the last! Very friendly, very well organised, enough challenges for everyone beginner or seasoned half-marathon runner. Lovely, scenic course, very friendly and supportive marshalls. Super technical t-shirt, super goodybag, went home very happy. The one you'd want to do again and again...

In short: If you have negative preconceptions on the mention of Grantham, then forget them. Stunning scenery and first rate organisation made this my best race for years.

In short: Lovely route - great stadium finish and fantastic goody bag :)
In full: The route was lovely, the canal towpath section was really nice. The 2 hills are a challenge, but the rest of the route is fairly quick so definitely PB potential. It was nice to finish in the stadium too, and the goody bags were one of the best ones I have had. The t-shirts were great too but would have liked if they said half marathon :)

They only negative about the day was the prize giving bit - it seemed badly organised, prizes were presented to the wrong people etc...

But other than that it was an excellent race, plenty of water stations and a lovely atmosphere - I will definitely do it again next year! :)

In short: Lovely day, very well organised.
In full: Bright warm sunshine a real bonus. Very well organised, I liked the number & chip registration, which made a friendly welcome to all. Enough said about the hills but we all knew and afterwards speed was easy & last couple of miles really quick. No problem with traffic as the marshalls did a great job (thank you) and finishing on a track is great for runners and spectators. A good friendly day & PB too.
