In short: I was so near to the end, very slow due to an injury but I got tremendous encouragement from all the runners who had finished, the marshalls and general public

In short: Nearly 5000 runners who entered didnt turn up on the day? over 4000 didnt turn up last year. 15000 entries or is it a marketing ploy? Great day,5th time on the trot, will be back next year for 6th.
In full: Trick is to arrive early, got there at 8am managed to park within 200 mtrs of the start, and didnt hang around after, got on motorway in 10mins. See you again next year. My second fave race after London Marathon.

In short: My first experience of a mass participation race and indeed 10 miles. Very good.
In full: Proves the old addage of 'you get what you pay for' arguably it is pricey but with championchip timing, medal, t-shirt plus a goody bag not to mention great marshals & streets lined with encouragement it's well worth it even if you only do it once for the experience. All those little niggles you read about with smaller races simply don't happen here. Go for it.

In short: Recommend everyone to to the North South double, great fun
In full: Parked in the centre as advised, bit of a walk to the start/finish line, got a PB of 1:03:50 and managed to get out of Portsmouth with no delay. Exactly as it said in the pre-race information booklet.
