In short: charming race from a lovely village- well done Manuden
In full: shame about the weather, but at least it wasnt hot, and for those who brought a towel and dry clothing no real problem.
Much better venue and the hot food and drinks much appreciated.
As to the race itself, 1st 3k up means last 3k down, hurra for a "thereandbackagain" and an easy finish!!

In short: Well organised in difficult conditions.
In full: Excellent race in rotten conditions; good spirit shown by all especially the marshalls who had to stand still and get very wet!

In short: Look Forward to 2009
In full: Pouring rain and difficult conditions but then again, that's part of the challenge, isn't it? A really great spirit among the racers, good organisation and a challenging course in beautiful countryside made this race great fun. The course is there and back - the first 5k follows the road between the village of Manuden and Rickling Green, before a short run on a forest track prior to the turn home. Undulating, with some steep inclines, but overall a fair course. Winning time was in the 39 min category - from good runners - so it's not a PB course, but satisfying to complete.

In short: A lovely morning in Essex.
In full: A reasonably challenging course, friendly organisers and free parking! I only went because my other half was doing it with his club and I loved it.
Only negative comment would be that on the return the second water station were pouring bottle apon bottle away - a bit rash considering the amount of people still to return who could have been in need of a slurp.
