In short: Very tough, yet enjoyable challenge In full: The first half was great and the time flew by, the second half was very tough and challenging and longer than expected!! This was my first 20k multi terrain run, having only done 10k previously, and although I ache I'm feeling on top of the world for completing it. Well done to everyone else too. In short: Really tough. If you like 20k off-roaders, this is the one for you. In full: Positives: Great scenery, not too crowded, great organisation. Negatives: Really rocky; I saw 3 people with twisted ankles. After 1 week of dry weather it was still a bog in places; very hard going. If you enjoy that sort of thing, then do this race.
In short: Good test of fitness & will power, nice tea & cakes at the finish In full: Done a vfew races organised by WAC this was just as well organised / run considering the terrain & distance involved. Having completed the Bristol Half recently it highlighted the need to train well to truely enjoy this race, but I did find it fun & will probably do it again. Like others I enjoyed the tea & cake at the finish. Well done to WAC. Date of review: October 19, 2007
In short: Lovely scenery, great on the flat but those hills ! In full: Ran most of the way but when the walkers started to over take my running, I walked the last couple of hills. Great routes and ran places that i did not know existed. Will do it again next year just to run those hills without stopping. Date of review: October 19, 2007
