In short: Good test for your speed, 4 laps of a decent park!
In full: Apart from the fact it chucked it down with rain and I believe, hail stones this was a really good run. Myself and two companions all got new Personal Bests, by over a minute each.
Goodie bag was a bit naf, but we don't always do it for the goodie bag as this was a charity event!
Quite a high calibre of runner so the challenge along with the route itself all added to a proper 'race feel'!

In short: Good Race, enjoyable but short
In full: Again like many others my Garmin made it short about 9.4km. Ruthermore my km splits suggested I was on for about 43 minutes not 40:51. I was also aiming to run about 42:30. I carried on running after the finish till 10K in 43:25 which was about right as I didn't feel I was running that well. So given that my time was faster by over nearly two minutes at 4:30 km pace the time and my Garmin both indicated this was around 0.5km short despite previous comments suggesting that Google makes it 2.49 a lap and the organises saying it was measured serveral times. (Plus I went round the lamppost on all but the first lap. Has potential for a fast enjoyable course so will be back next year as if the distance is sorted will be good for a PB. But that could be the last time if it not more accurate.

In short: Super fast course, friendly, though need to ensure it def is 10K!
In full: Really enjoyed my first running of this race.

Girlfriend and I got superb times. She - a PB by over 2 mins and me best time this year by 2 and a half mins and only 50 seconds short of PB achieved when 1 stone lighter in 2006!

Was superbly organised and while the conditions were far from favourable they seemed to spur runners on rather than hinder.

Just a shame i did a short lap twice due to ineffective marshallng by grassy area - so can prob add 30 seconds to my finish time.

Will be back next year!

In short: Good fun, nice and flat, bit short of 10k
In full: Enjoyable race, organisation and marshall all very good and friendly despite the miserable morning. Enjoyed the 4 lap course as each lap seemed very short and made the course feel easy.

Only prob is despite being well on PB pace and crossing the line well under my 10k best cannot accept the result as convinced it was well short of 10k. My garmin had it at 9.5 and I DID run to the lamppost every time, mainly because the girl infront of me on the first lap knoew where she was going. I followed her no one else seemed to.

(It is a great PB course but just not for a 10k PB).

Still a good fun morning good value for £10 and will def run again.

In full: Run this event twice and each year seems to coincide with a monsoon. simple rce, simple organisation but great for PB's and blowing away the winter cobwebs.

In short: Fast and flat on a still though wet morning. Lack of wind meant the showers didn't hinder speed at all
In full: Being a bit dubious about these short course comments (and lacking a Garmin thingy) I used Google Earth to measure the course (the turns at the tree and lamp post are plainly visible). Despite the fact there's some wishful thinking here (I ran a fast time I'm anxious to ratify!) the mapping tool measured the lap as 2.49km. This obviously can't rival a proper measuring wheel on the ground for accuracy but, let's face it, the number is pretty close. The Garmin measurement quoted in one post on this forum is well over a quarter of a mile short of 10km; surely this must be regarded as suspect? I've corresponded with the organisers today and they assure me the course has been properly measured on a number of occassions and that the marshals were posted in the right places! So, if you stayed on the paths, and ran round the tree and the lamp post, who says you haven't got a bona fide time?
