In short: Good, friendly race.
In full: I turned up with no expectations and was impressed by the set up. It is described as a 'fun run' so I wasn't expecting it to be a strict 10K or to have official timings but I was hoping to have fun, which I did.

In short: Great race, friendly and organised. Lots of muddy fun!!
In full: I really enjoyed this race. A large part of that due to the cheerfulness and encourangement provided by the Army marshallers as you ran past, despite it being torrential rain and them having to stand in the cold. The bad weather just made the run even more interesting and lots of muddy fun! The organisation was great and i think overall it went very well. I had no problem with the warm up attempt at the beginning, in fact it was actually quite funny and was certainly making people smile in adversity. I don't think the majority of people would have complained about the warm up so much if had it not been tipping down quite so badly at that particular time. The route is interesting with a cheeky hill about half way. I do agree with the comment by one of the reviewers that if some runners choose to walk at points, it would be good if they could allow those still wanting to run to get past. And I also agree with the suggestion of noting times and positions. I will definitely do this again next year. Good fun!

In short: Challenging 10k with a good mix of hills!!
In full: I don't know why people are complaining about the warm-up! Well organised once again, good support from the army. This is the 2nd time we have run this race, the only thing we would say like others is it is a shame there is no recorded times.

In short: hard and hilly (and just a LITTLE wet) ;-)
In full: I agree with two comments down below.

a) What is the point of entering a race if you aren't going to know your finishing position, yes ok, its for charity and I hope a lot of money was raised for the good cause.... but just how difficult is it to record times???????

b) what was the point of the warm up. The majority of the runners would have been experienced enough to know how to warm themselves up, the 3 minute delay to the start of the race in the poring rain was just ridiculous! (the warm up for the 3k was more fitting, but not for the main event)

In short: Vey wet, hilly and I didn't get my Tshirt.....
In full: The day started with rain and then more rain. The course was very muddy and very hilly. The course goes along tank tracks 4/5kms so it was that kind of mud that sticks to your boots! I was disappointed with organisation, the Army were great and supportive, drinks on route and generally offering support. But no one appeared to be taking peoples times at the end so I have no idea what time I did, think it was about 65min normally run 56mins. Also I lost my voucher for a T-shirt because it was so windy and wet but went to see if they would let me have a T-shirt any way as I clearly had finished the run (wet muddy and had my number on)But I was told NO very disappointed. The other runner were really nice but I have no plans to run it next year.

In short: Lots of hills!
In full: Great race. Only let down was the pointless warm-up by the Army PTI at the beginning - totally unsuitable warm-up for a run.
