In short: One of the hardest road races around, but well worth the effort with some of the most glorious countryside in the uk. Can best be described as challenging and hilly, not for the faint hearted.

In short: fabulous race, faultless organisation and amazing views. The climbs are tough, but what goes up must come down :)

In full: This was easily the hardest HM I have ever done. The first three miles could knock the stuffing out of some runners, and there was little time to rest on the harsh descents. The rest of the race consisted of more steep ascents and descents and only steadied off in the final run back to the finish line.

However, the scenery was incredible, which made this a really special race for me.

A massive well done to Buxton AC, especially the marshals of which there were many and they were all very supportive and encouraging.

In short: Was apprehensive beforehand but then loved every minute!
In full: I was a bit nervous about the hills but they weren't as bad as I expected, although the heat did take its toll. The scenery was breath-taking and the atmosphere was very friendly with lots of people turning out to cheer you on. Will definitely be back next year.
