In short: Picturesque, friendly and a great run In full: Great organisation from Nice Work and Ashford AC before, during and after the event. No problems on the revised route and it was great to run a negative split. Terrific marshalls and locals cheered everyone on. Thanks for a great run. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Most enjoyable event of the year so far In full: Nice Work do a great job organising the event, keeping us informed of details and changes, particularly with the weather we have had. The revised course was even more exciting for the switch back so we could all cheer our friends on regardless of position in the race. Brilliant decision, would love to do the same route again next year! The facilities were good as always and the change of parking venue was nice because we could all walk along and chat after the race and it was no inconvenience. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Well-run, fun race with excellent chance of PB In full: Scenic race, well-run with good facilities, enough runners but a relatively small field so the atmosphere is good and good "crowd" support. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Always a fantastic event! In full: Despite some potential problems due to the poor weather we've had recently, the organisers were brilliant. I received regular emails regarding the route and car parking changes. I must say I really like parking where we do now (there's loads of space and it's an easy walk to HQ). Change of route wasn't a problem at all and it meant we all got a run. I guess it was slightly harder than previous years as my time was slower even though I'm much fitter now. Be interesting to see if that's the case. The volunteers out on the course did a splendid job, and it was great to have support from the crowd coming down the hill towards the finish. Nice medal as well. Thank you to the organisers for a wonderful day out. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Well organised 10km race, good facilities at race HQ, parking and directions great In full: This is the first time I have run this race so cannot compare the (changed) route of the course, but I enjoyed the out and back route this year. Mostly flat with one early hill to negotiate.
Good communication from the organisers Nice Work about the change of course and parking. The medal was of good quality and the facilities at Sandyhurst Lane were welcome (nice to be able to shelter in the warm before the race and buy a hot dog afterwards).
I ran a two minute PB which I was delighted with. Thank you to Nice Work and the encouraging marshalls and volunteers. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Really enjoyed the race and the day. Organizers did a magnificent job. In full: I would recommend this race to anyone who wants to do a 10k be that an experienced runner or a beginner. Lovely location in the countryside. I will do it again next year definitely. Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: Well organised, welcoming - my first road race and will do again! In full: From the moment I saw the signs to the car park I was reassured this would be a well organised event. My first road race and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Unexpected weather meant a course change but didn't impact on runners. Lovely course with great views and one slightly challenging hill. Great atmosphere so thank you to organisers and volunteers! Date of review: February 3, 2014
In short: well done for coping with weather leading upto race snd especially for keeping us informed. In full: Every one was greeted by happy organisers which makes a difference. I actually preferred the amended course. Nice 25th medal by the way. Date of review: February 2, 2014
In short: What a lovely race In full: This really is a great race. I don't think you would find a better 10 k in the uk. It's so beautiful as you crest the hill it run down towards the church. The club should be very proud of itself for keeping this race going for 25 years. Such an achievement. Date of review: February 2, 2014
