In short: Well organised, challenging and good fun
In full: Not done a cross country for 30+ years, so was pleased that my time was only 2 minutes slower than the last 10k road race. Very well organised, encouraging and friendly marshalls all round the course.

In short: Muddy, fun, wel organised
In full: I enjoyed the race although, I regretted not owning any trail shoes as the mud was slippery on the park sections. That was a bit annoying on the finish straight where there was a danger of slipping over during the sprint. Overall a really good run though, through lovely park scenery.

In short: Wish I had done more hill training!
In full: Not a good start as although told I could register on the day they had run out of chips and numbers when I got there. Other than that very good organisation, the marshalls were very helpful and charming and the medals and bananas at the finish were well organised.

I struggled with the first 2km which I was personally disappointed with but managed to run the hill 2nd time around and sprint finish to come in around 59mins. Shame i wasn't chipped but will definitely ensure I sign up online in plenty of time for next year!

In short: A nice Sunday morning
In full: Despite having raced since 1979 I'd largely missed this type of run, concentrating almost exclusively on inter-club races. My loss as this was good fun, easy to navigate and with more than enough helpers and marshals. It has a bit more road in it than I'd like but most can be avoided by using the grassy verges. If I'm fit and healthy in 2012 I'll return.

In short: Once again, organised with precision
In full: Proud to be a local with an event like this on your door step. All "backroom" staff were brilliant, again. Supporters fantastic too, even if I got a "We Luv" or a "We Hate Marmite" Hard word after a 4 month lay off and what is it about that first 2k!!

In short: Quite a challenging 2k at the start of each lap, not helped by being spongy underfoot after overnight rain, but loved the bananas before and after the race.

In short: Second year in a row
In full: It was a good race. Its hard to improve your running time, as there is a long gradient at the start.

Its nice and challenging. I would recommend that anyone wanting to enter this event should do some hill training.
