In short: Fantastic offroad fun!
In full: What a great run! Almost all off-road, along woodlands tracks and paths through fields. It's single-file a fair bit of the way, and there are some waits to climb stiles, which means unless you're at the front at the start it's possibly not PB material. But for a fabulous Friday evening run, it's spot on. Fantastic organisation and marshalling, glorious scenery and a great goodie bag at the end. Can't wait for next year!

In short: 10 out of 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In full: Well done Blakedown Bolt Organisers! You have managed to stage a race over a reasonably challenging course, that is well marshalled, has an excellent atmosphere (before, during and afterwards), and that puts many other races to shame! There’s plenty for spectators to do whilst waiting at the end. And the lap around the playing field gives an opportunity for people to shout you home over the last 400 meters. There was an excellent BBQ and beer tent, which lots people stopped for (instead of immediately jumping in the car once the heart rate has recovered!). In short one of the best (if not THE best) local races, which I will definitely be entering again next year.

In short: Excellent well organised race!
In full: This event is organised by a village committee and it puts an awful lot of running club events to shame! Its not an easy course but it is scenic and well marshalled. Back at the sports ground there was a lot going on for families and supporters which is probably why it was packed! Well done Blakedown!

In short: Fantastic event! Excellent organisation, course and support.
In full: This is a first-class event, particularly given that it's only in its 2nd year.

The pre-race organisation was excellent, the bar, BBQ and kids activities meant a really good crowd of spectators and the course was varied, scenic and good fun. The marshalls were all very supportive, especially the lady just before halfway!

A lot of effort had obviously been put into this event by the local community and they all deserve a huge amount of thanks.

In short: Enjoyable but very hard for a first 10k!
In full: Great atmosphere, encouraging marshals, a water stop halfway, lovely scenery, and a bar and barbecue for the spectators. I found the hills really hard but it was my first 10k and I'm usually more of a road runner. I thought the water crossing was pure evil! Ran the last 3k with heavy, wet and sandy trainers. But a very friendly atmosphere and I would do it again if I could face the hills!

In short: Stiles, sand and water
In full: Not sure this is suited for beginners such as myself. Lots of waiting to climb stiles, running in sand and a water jump. Enjoyable scenery and friendly atmos but the aforementioned made for a slightly disappointing time.

In short: I don't remember it being that hilly!
In full: I'd just like to say thanks to all of the organisers and marshalls for another good bolt (slightly drier this year!)
see you next year!

In short: A five star version of the stourbridge stumble
In full: A very challenging and enjoyable run. Excellently organised with great facilities such as the BBQ and beer tent. Looking forward to 2009!

In short: Cracking Race
In full: Considering this race is only 2 years old the organisation is spot on, marshalls were great and the finish area is great for runners and supporters alike. I'll be doing this for some years to come
