In short: well organized half marathon, well done plymouth In full: a tough half marathon, the finish set up was the quickest i have known, medal & goody bag both first class. i knew my chip time within minutes of finishing as it was sent to my mobile, i don't see why more chip timed races cannot provide this service. In short: Challenging but fair. Nice goody bag In full: Not sure about the new start to the route, easier then the old one but not as scenic and I think spectators would prefer to watch the start on the Hoe than amongst the boring shops on Royal Parade. I also think 08:30 is a little too early to start. Other than that, very well organised, no watre shortages, good marshalling, really nice goody bag and the best t-shirt yet! And a PB to boot :-) Date of review: May 30, 2011

In short: Very good race, great organisation, shame about the weather for the great spectators. In full: This was my first half and it was great. All signed well helping to keep me calm before the race. The first 4 miles were great and flat but the hills in the middle and at the end were a bit leg sapping! All the marshals and crowd were great and I was over the moon to get a lovely sausage roll in my goody bag (along with chewy bars, drinks, fruit, biscuits, creams, t-shirt and lovely shiny medal). Great day out though my family got freezing waiting for me. Perhaps I should go quicker! Date of review: May 29, 2011

In short: My first Plymouth half, and I was told it wasn't good for a PB. So I went and got one! Good race, shame about the mist over the sea... Date of review: May 29, 2011

In short: Very well organised! Super dooper goody bag! In full: This event ran like clockwork. A small delay at the beginning was the only hitch but no real problem whatsoever! A challenging course with a couple of challenging hills to boot. The hill around the 5-6 mile mark was unexpected and quite long. But quickly followed by a nice stretch of down hill to make the time up lost on the climb. The final mile uphill to the Hoe was also tough but the cheering crowd helped you along. The marshals and helpers were very encouraging and friendly. The baggage drop was very quick and efficient. And what a great goody bag! A pasty, cake and a sports drink were very welcoming indeed for the journey home, along with a nice looking medal. My chip time was also texted to my phone shortly after I crossed the finish line. See you next year. (It also helped that I knocked off over 8 mins from my previous best at Bristol) Date of review: May 29, 2011

In short: challenging race with great crowd support In full: new start, early start, new runners village..all new touches but this does not distract from a great race. started 5 minutes late to ensure the runners safety was paramount. crowd support around the course was very good especially Royal Parade, Saltram and on the Hoe. Support team did a fantastic job, from marshals, massage team, finish line team and the 'race pacers'. keep up the good work! and the roads were opened in time to allow the moaners of Plymouth get to the shops on time!
