In short: Painful in places but worth it for a great feeling at the end!
In full: This was my third time out at this race and struck, as before, by the superb organisation and friendliness of the marshalls - thanks to all involved!

In short: Still as tough as ever
In full: I didnt enjoy this race last year - at all. BUt felt I had to give it another try, and Im glad I did. Its still one of the toughtest (almost) half marathons you can do in the south, but with better pacing I found I enjoyed the challenge. Liss Runners put on a great event, in beautiful surroundings. Try it,

In short: Consistently good year after year
In full: A really good MT race with some killer hills not least the never-ending haul not far from the end. Very supportive marshals (expecially that lady at mile 8!). Well organised rural event in the national park. Much better weather this year with dust replacing the mud!

In short: a tough but enjoyable half
In full: excellent organised race from the car parking to the marshalls to the sign posts and mile markers. this is a tough off road course with several climbs ( but what goes up must come down )the scenery is lovely but as it is loose underfoot you tend to miss most of it as you need to keep an eye on the floor at all times. this is a great off road course and something so different from the normal road half marathons. a great medal at the end but most of all the sense of achievement after finishing a tough half.

In short: Best half I've ever done - tough, but fun and beautiful
In full: Absolutely loved it:

- only £9, but loads of marshalls
- lots of hills, but nothing to make you cry
- vicious downhills over rough terrain, really challenging can either sprint or walk, nothing inbetween.
- windy tracks through beautiful woodland, with wonderful scenery.

In short: Brutal but brilliant
In full: This is a proper trail race that causes aches and pains in new areas! Great Scenery, great fun and very very well organised, Marshalls were friendly and cheerful and the course was great. Not an easy one at all but will definately be in my calandar for next year.

In short: Great well organised friendly trail race
In full: No mud this year but those downhills were probably even more slippery in the dust! Hard but lovely course, friendly encouraging marshalls, good water stations - overall fantastic race. Credit to Liss Runners for superb organisation
