In short: Lots of fun
In full: Living in the village where the race ends means this was my home event and it did not disappoint in any way. Cheerful camaraderie amongst the competitors and glorious views coupled with first class organisation resulted in a great race. Big thanks to all the people out on the sands who ensured our safety.

In short: Fantastic Day
In full: I really enjoyed this race. I started of at a nice steady pace as I was not sure what to expect of a race run on sand. Maintained the pace throughout and was elated to finish in 2hrs and 7 mins. Loved having the open space, and to watch the runners snaking across the sand ahead. Would definetly recommend.

In short: Sandy, wet, beautiful, tough and fun
In full: I found this harder than the marathon I ran earlier this year (Brighton) but it's such an unusual event that it's worth the effort.
The sense of running in a wide open space is amazing, splashng through puddles most of the way with a few waist deep river like stretches of sea to cross. It's tough to get a personal best although a few of my friends did. The water does make your trainers heavy and the salt will instantly rot them too, so old trainers are required because after this race they'll end up in the bin.
Very well organised too, sign up you'll enjoy it.

In short: Great Day-A Race Out of the Norm and a must!
In full: A great day and everything went like clockwork which was surprising for a run that on paper seems extraordinary hard to organise i.e. across the bay whilst the tide is out and start 1 hour away from finish (the organisers put free coaches on for you). Loved running through the water in parts and the beach was wet and hard so not difficult to run on. Not organised but topped my day off at the 8 mile mark getting a flying display by a spitfire/hurricane and Lancaster bomber, enjoyed the parachutes at the start as well! Great event and a must for all you runners out there!!!! Plenty of drink stations out to sea and goody bag, medal and pick of fruit at the end, I would say its good value for money.
