In short: Lack of support along most of the way makes it seem like a training run

In short: I loved the flat course.
In full: The flat course is perfect for attaining a new PB! The scenery was nice too. It was a shame about the weather, but it didn't spoil the race at all. I had a great time.

In short: Fast course, very dull
In full: Previous races at this venue have involved two laps of the rowing lake, but for some reason this one was just up-and-down one side of the lake - somewhat depressing and almost as boring as the treadmill!

In short: not impressed with the course layout
In full: for whatever reason , instead of two laps of the entire lake , this race was four lengths of one side of the lake - disappointing . And although the race was supposed to start at 2pm , there were people still queueing at 2pm to enter ON THE DAY - which seems a bit daft to me - why not close that an hour or two before the race - and because of that , and people collecting their numbers ,and the toilet queues - the race started late .So that was pretty disappointing , and not being able to run the whole of the lake did make the day not as good as I`d hoped

In short: A great venue
In full: Good
The venue is excellent. Having the start/finish at the far end of the lake made for easier parking and getaway. PB potential is high. The stewards were very friendly.

Bad
The delay of the start was poor, latecomers should not delay a race. Partly because of late registrations. Easy answer - close them 30 mins before race! It sounds petty but the goody bag didn't have any food at all - that was a shame and though the race is cheap a biscuit wouldn't break the bank. I'd rather that than the t shirt!

In short: Shame they don't use tags or have a clock!!
In full: Was a real shame that they don't use race tags to log time's and on top of that there wasn't a clock so if you didn't have your own watch to go by you would have to wait for results on net.
start line crowded took me 30sec to cross it and then a good 10-15 sec to be seen by end time keeper to log time so not expecting an accurate time.
Turns very tight.
goody bag just a recovery drink and adds, could have been better.
Ran late so the presentations time went out of the window so most people left.
On a good note, Great for PB even on a wet day like this one would do again!!
then again what do I really know as this was a first event for little old me!!!!

In short: A bit hap-hazard with the organisation, but great once it got going
In full: Great location for a race, nice scenery and the flat terrain is perfect for getting a PB. As others have said, would have preferred to do laps rather than the up and down one side course they laid out though. The tight turns at either end weren't a great idea in the wet weather.

Organisation was a bit of a let down too, took ages queuing up just to park for some reason, which I think is the main reason it started late. Still the marshals were friendly and helpful and there was quite a good crowd of spectators considering the bad weather. If it was slightly better co-ordinated it has the potential to be a really good event.

In short: Its one saving grace is that it is flat and has PB potential.
In full: The T-shirt is a walking advert for F3. Mine has already gone to the charity shop.
Considering the entry cost you would think that F3 could at least get a medal struck.

In short: A good benchmark race
In full: Probably the flattest 10K you'll come across, and if the weather had been decent would have been a fairly scenic run (along the side of the rowing lake). Would have preferred to do a full lap of it, rather than up and down one side (with slippy hairpins at either end).

As it's run fairly regularly is a useful race for those looking to quantify their improvement over time. Friendly staff (and big pile of safety pins...I forgot mine!). Freebies were a milkshake, Red Bull and a t-shirt, which isn't bad for the low price!
