In short: Love it, clockwork organisation, friendly and challenging run In full: My second PW10k after getting very wet in 2013, will be back again next year. In short: first time runner - loved it In full: My first 10K, was much hillier and cross country than anticipated but well worth the challenge. great atmosphere and support the whole way round. Date of review: October 13, 2015
In short: Fabulous Race! In full: I ran this for the first time and can clearly say that this is one of the best organised races on the planet! It was well marshalled - all were very friendly and extremely helpful! There is a great band playing to get you in the mood, a warm-up routine, cooked food for after the race, a bouncy castle and face painting for the kids... this event has everything, even great weather! It's a superb day out for all the family and I will certainly be running it again next year! Well done to the organisers for getting it spot on! Date of review: October 13, 2015
In short: Really well organised race and friendly atmosphere In full: Lovely run through woods, fields, some roads/pavements and over a railway footbridge. So well organised and loads of supportive marshals and spectators. Even the tree roots on some paths, causing trip hazards, had been marked out in white for runners to spot them easily. Just getting back into my running and events like this make me realize what I've been missing. Thanks Petts Wood runners! Date of review: October 13, 2015
In short: Excellently organised event! In full: Tough and challenging course at certain stages, but the organization and friendliness of all involved with this event is outstanding. I have to give a special mention the marshals, which were excellent and also to the local residents who were very supportive. I cannot think of anything to mark this event down on, which says it all! In short: Beautiful route through scenic woodland in the autumn sunshine. In full: I'm fairly new to running but was made to feel very welcome: this race is impeccably well organised and the marshals stationed along the route were all awesome in their encouragement. The route itself is as beautiful as they come, with a few hilly ups and downs and some tricky sections where you had to watch your footing - but the organisers had signposted these and marked out trip hazards in powder. It's virtually all off road. The weather was perfect - early morning autumn sunshine. Glorious. Date of review: October 13, 2015
In short: Lovely race with excellent organisation In full: This was my first time to the Petts Wood 10k and I thouroughly enjoyed myself. The warm-up could ahve done with getting some spectators out of the way and a louder speaker as we could barely hear what we were supposed to do.
THe staged approach was great, but some annoyance at people who were never going to get under 50 minutes started in 45-50 which meant that they blocked up towards the end. Not really the organisers fault though.
After the race there were bananas, a very nice medal and a beer tent with local ales.
All in all a wonderful race and a great organisation. I will be back next year. Date of review: October 13, 2015
