In short: Well organised, well worth taking part
In full: This is one race where its worth taking part. Well organised by Tiptree road runners. Well marshalled and supported by the club. The start was abit muddled with some gaps in allowing a car or two. The start should have been better as it seems slower runners and faster runners were mixed at the front which create problems for the 1st mile. The course is rural, nice and quiet, and maybe fast-ish! Conditions were ideal. Didn`t run as fast as last year but I`m having a bad year anyway! Well controlled in the final 1/2 mile with marshalls and police controlling traffic and runners. As usual worth taking part in getting the legendary shirt. Will return next year.

In short: Nice race with lots of potential for PBs
In full: Down hill first mile infact quick first few. Followed by a calf strain at 34 miles :( continued even though I was on course for a PB. Ended up with a slowish time but nice course.

In short: What goes down, must come up!
In full: My second year at Tiptree, and this year I knew the form. Fast and furious start, followed by a long countryside cruise and a tough but achievable uphill finish. I love hills, so this was a great race for me. I knocked over half a minute off last years time, despite carrying a knee injury. Had I not had to run within myself I would have knocked minutes off.

A special mention should go to the young lad in the Policeman outfit - quality. Great water stations every 2.5 miles, and an army of marshals.

I'll be back next year, hopefully without a wonky knee.
