In full: A challenging, undulating course, with a very tricky hill in the middle. All that being said, fantastic scenery, extremely well organised, very friendly, wonderful atmosphere as in fancy dress. Terrific power gels and jelly babies, lovely marshalls, a gorgeous medal at the end, with quality t shirt and training diary. And scrummy melon and a hog roast at the end. Definitely one to earmark for next year, but dont do it to gain a PB!!!

In short: Really well organised, fun and friendly race and day
In full: This was great. Fantastic organisation, lovely course (pretty tough for a bit of an amateur like me, but plenty of water stations with free gels and jelly babies made it easy to perk up after the trickier climbs. I only had wine at the last one, but that was a great touch too) with extraordinary scenery--the view just after 12 miles was just gorgeous. The downhill finish made looking good in front of my other half very easy... Great medal and t-shirt. NIce also to be given a free training diary. The fruit, cake, tea and coffee at the end was grand enough, but the huge pile of pork and crackling and glass of wine was even better. Next year, the pair of us might walk the course instead (she's not so into the running thing). Top notch stuff.

In short: What fun!
In full: Really enjoyed this run. Lovely scenery with any ascent being rewarded by gorgeous views. There were frequent drink stops with jolly volunteers dishing out everything that you could want to keep the spirit and energy up. Suitable for all abilities with the field quickly spreading out. Will be back next year!

In short: Super race! Great fun and great scenery!
In full: Thanks to the organisers for a really lovely race. It was well organised, the marshalls were all friendly and helpful and the wine/water stations made it great fun. The course is quite challenging and there are some big (and today muddy) hills, but they are more than made up for by the scenery!

Will definitely be back next year!

In short: A great day out, before, during and after the race,
In full: This is quite a unique event featuring wine as well as water at the numerous stations along the course! The hog roast afterwards is a great addition rather than just drifting off as is normally the case.

The course itself is quite hard being steadily uphill for about 8 miles, with a long descent at the end. It's quite grueling and I think my time was slower than on courses with more ascent/descent.

What else? There's a DJ at the start/end, tea, coffee, cakes and melon slices upon finishing.

The great views and scenery I sort of take for granted because I live in Dorking but they are fantastic too.

All in all a great day out. If you're really keen you can do the marathon version as well, a double dose.

In short: Great scenery, hilly sections, some mud, and WINE
In full: Scenery is great - not a race for PBs due to the hills. Minimal queues - great post race food (hog roast, as well as fruit, cakes, not forgetting the wine). Very friendly, in a beautiful area, what's not to like?
