In short: The only way to start the new year (again)
In full: Perfect start to 2013. Hugely tough, muddy and squelchy 10k in glorious Surrey countryside. Dr Rob, his family and the large number of marshals put on an awesome event every year and the fancy dress gets better and better. You may hear its tough but there's no other race I'd recommend higher. Give it a go in 2014!

In short: best race of the year!
In full: Always such a feel-good race with cheerful marshals and friendly atmosphere. Beautiful beautiful course, and most other races this year will feel easy in comparison. Missed the bagpiper this year, but soup as delicious as ever. Thanks for another great run, see you next year!

In short: Bloody Hard, Bloody Good Fun!
In full: This was my first Knacker Cracker. What a great event, obvioulsy the weather was glorious, but the camaradarie amongst competitors was second to none. Well organised and great value. I will be back, I just need to think of a more ridiculous costume for next year. P.S. I was Pammy in the Orange ;-)

In short: The best way to spend the first day of the year!
In full: Once again, this race was fantastically organised. Friendly marshals, lots of sticky, wet mud and plenty of jelly babies and jaffa cakes at the water station. Great to see the omission of the bonus hill this year , and lots more people dressed up too!
Thank you Dr Rob and the soup dragon for a lovely morning!

In short: Fabulous race. Tough old hills and lots of mud!
In full: A really superb race. The hills are tough, the trails muddy and very uneven in places and the steps impossible, but despite all of that I love it! The organisation and marshalls are the best in country. The whole atmosphere was the best I've ever experienced at a race. A great start to the year and really enjoyed the last 1/2km flying down Box Hill.

In short: If there is a better way to start the year I haven't found it yet!
In full: Fun from start to finish. So good to see a higher percentage of runners than normal in fancy dress and the oufits seem to be getting more and more complicated.
No bonus hill this year, thankfully but Dr Rob did his best to add to the muddy conditions by having us all parade up and down several times before the start.
Not an event to be rushed but well done to the guys and girls who made it back to the finish in under an hour.
And congratulations to the lady taking part in and finishing her first organised event.
Support from runners and marshals was superb and as always Dr Rob, the Roblets and Soup Dragon put on a very good post race spread. Medal, T-shirt, cap, sandwiches, carrots and of course the soup all appreciated.
This event leaves you with a very warm, happy feeling. What other event also gives you the chance to win a luxury, catering size block of cheese or jar of Branston Pickle in the free post run raffle :)

In short: Woohoo, another knacker cracker done
In full: Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. From the cheery, encouraging marshals to the monumental efforts made in the fancy dress, to the hills and this year, mud, glorious mud.

Thank you Dr and Mrs Rob and all of the superb helpers who chipped in to make this event one of the favourites on the Calender.
