In short: great way to start 2009
In full: My first Knacker Cracker - and I will be back next year! Great organisation and friendly marshals. Finished between a devil and a reindeer, passed a few santas on the way.

In short: A great, lung-busting, light-hearted way to start a new year 10/10!!!
In full: Well done again to Dr Rob and his merry men and women for putting on such a lovely event. Rob's description of the course and in particular the hills delivered at the start line was brutally honest and worth noting. The 1km climb straight from the off quickly focusses the mind; the 'motivational' signs around the course help in their own twisted kind of way; I'm not sure I'd fancy the Stepping Stones on a wetter or icy day but yet another novelty; the perversity of jogging down all those steps knowing you'll see them again on the way back up; and the long, long flailing descent to the finish line - wow! Thoroughly recommended and the fancy dress element goes down really well with the spectators.

In short: What a great race - and start to a new year!
In full: My first attempt but I will definitely be back! Really enjoyed it - very hard work (those steps!!) but that just made the feeling of achievement better. And I LOVE that last stretch running flat out down the hill!!
Great organisstion, marshalling, goodies, refreshements - all in all, a great race!
And special thanks for the practice run a couple of weeks before - made all the difference for me.

In short: This race seems to be better each year. More runners than ever in fancy dress, and some wonderful "motivational" signage from the organisers this year. For the bargain hunters, a long sleeve technical shirt for all finishers!

In short: Great start to the year
In full: So much work must have gone into making this such an excellent race - from the arrows painted on the ground, through the fun signs and finishing up with such great goodies - not least the cheese and pickle sandwiches. The cameraderie amongst the runners was amazing - definitely helped on those steps! Thanks to everyone - organisers, marshalls, runners, supporters and bemused dog walkers for making it so great.

In short: Awesome
In full: Nothing but praise for this little hill race... excellent organisation and marshalling. lots of well placed little touches dotted around the course. got to be the toughest/maddest last 4k of any race, and the first 6k ain't exactly easy going.
much better conditions than last year made this even more "fun". The best way to start the new year.
