In short: Scenic , well organised, flat(ish) !
In full: A well organised event ,the start was a little slow because some runners chose to start ahead of their alotted time pens so much slower runners were in the way in what was a narrow country lane! Not the organisers fault! Other than that the race was excellent , flat most of the way except between mile 8 and 11 there were a few "lumps and bumps" but from 11 home it was downhill which was great. Nice T shirt to finish with nice smiling and friendly faces greeting and handing out Mars bars and bananas which were very welcome!

In short: Cracking Race.
In full: I'll confess to the Hinckley Half being organised by my club. However, it's organisation goes from strength to strength. The route in the rural area south of Market Bosworth which makes it very scenic.

The race venue has opportunities for supporters to entertain themselves while the run is progressing in the lanes.

T shirt is good quality, and there's no attempt to provide a goody bag full of junk.

I finally put my apologies in about my dog making an horrendous noise around the 2 mile mark, I think the some runners might have added extra yards to the race to avoid being near him, he was a bit miffed that he wasn't running with me and really wanted to join in with anyone.

In short: Well organised, scenic and fun
In full: Well done & thanks to all involved. Great organisation, super atmosphere and undulating run suited me. Two requests: more toilets and water in bottles, cups are not good to drink out of.

In short: a good day out
In full: Disappointed to miss gun at the start due to being stuck in the toilet queue for an eternity. This resulted in me being right at the back of the field and unable to make progress to where I wanted to slot in due to the narrow lanes. It all got better
until we were expected to run drinking from a cup and where was the lucozade (as advertised on information)? Liked the undulation-what goes up must come down-and I liked the enthusiastic chap at mile 11 where we turned a corner and as he promised it was all downhill to the finish.

In short: Quick and undulating
In full: Very well organised and the course was fast. A few ups and downs but nothing major, a few people moaned about a hill at 10miles but it's not a bad hill it's just gets a mention as it's the biggest on the course and also at 10 miles so people focus on it. To me it is a great PB course and I cut 5mins off mine.

I only have 2 comments to improve this run. Drinking from a cup is near impossible when running, if it costs a little extra for bottles on drink stations then add a couple of £'s to the entry fee as it's still a bargin price and
I for one would be willing to pay the extra as it's worth it especially when hot.

2nd, unfortuantly this one I don't think the organisers can do anything about but it's food for thought for the runners wanting to get a good time. The lanes at the start are very narrow and there's a lot of slower runners going to the front and ignoring the positioning signs for expected finishing. They then start with a mild jog which clogs up the narrow start for the people wanting to run a good time. Not sure how this can be solved as it's up to the runner to be honest about their finishing times and starting the right section.

In short: Worth the trip from Somerset
In full: Great HQ at the Water Park. Congested lanes to begin but otherwise fine, testing route. Good support. Easy egress at the end. Well done Hinckley.
Hope the female runner who 'spiked' her Mini on the wooden stake managed to free her car

In short: Picturesque run
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed running round the undulating Midlands' countryside. Five water stations, chip timing and plenty for family and friends to do while waiting for me to finish all added to the attraction.
