In short: first Marathon
In full: My first marathon and I really enjoyed it. Run to enjoy it and slow down and talk to the experienced runners like Dave who I met at 9 mile point also Peter who I finished with. Marshals are really friendly and helpful enough sweets for everyone. As stopping for red lights added some minutes to overall time. Nice area bit of woodland also open spaces which you can`t see in London, great day out. Definitely coming back next year.

In short: Great low key race
In full: My first non-big city marathon and I really enjoyed it. Don't race for a time, run to enjoy it and stop and talk to the marshalls who are really friendly and helpful. I thought stopping for red lights would be a pain but actually it wasn't so bad and most of the time the marshalls saw you coming and pressed the button so it was normally clear to go by the time you got there.
Overall a really good race with some tough ish hills, agree golf course could be changed but just adds to the challenge, signage in there could be improved though.

In short: Did what it said on the tin - a fun marathon! Need to change the golf course section though. Otherwise lovely double loop with enough interest to keep you going.

In short: Second time here - hot this year - but such a friendly race setup!
In full: I arrived late for this race - but that didn't bother the race crew one bit - they quickly gave me a number, handed me a map, gave me a safety briefing and sent me on my way.

The course heads down through suburbia then snakes through some houses, then heads out towards some greenery then back round for a second lap. It's not flat - in fact there are some horrid inclines.

But the marshalls and the drinks stations are superb - especial thanks to the two families opening up their homes as drink and loo stations - friendly and excellent (thanks especially to the lady with all the ice at the bottom of the hill leading up into the woods!)

Excellent Saturday race - do it!

In short: Nice to have a Saturday Race
In full: No distinction between Marathon or Half Marathon runners. (Maybe a difference colour number would be helpful??)
Funraising for a good cause.
Great local run
