In short: Absolutely amazing!!!!!
In full: This is my first time running one of the SAAB Salomon trail series, and I have to say that I really enjoyed every mud soaked minute of it. The weather was absolutely awful, which made it even more fun. The X zone was thoroughly flooded which made it even more brutal, it was so amusing getting stuck in the mud and pulling others out of it.
The single file trails through the woods where a bit frustrating at times, but if you could spare a moment from looking at where to place your feet to avoid the rutts and roots, then it was quite a scenic route.
The sand pits where filled with water, there was absolutely no way that anybody could avoid getting saturated!
The hills were ridiculous and you literally had to drag yourself up them in the X zone.
The cadets/marshalls were suprisingly happy and encouraging despite the awful weather, and the whole event run like clockwork.
A great race and amazing course!

In short: an AWESOME experience!! Would definitely do it again!!
In full: This was my first trail race and I hope that my future races are just half as good as this was!!
The atmosphere was great, the terrain was challenging, it was a good laugh dragging yourself and other racers through the crazy bogs and deep water.....couldnt fault it at all!!
The organisers did a great job and I will definitely be taking part in some more Salomon races (and others) next year!!

In short: Absolutely blummin' marvellous (but I need a lie down now)
In full: Never seen a run like this - never seen anyone coming so close to doing the front crawl in sludgy bog either, mind you!! The course was challenging, picturesque and downright flooded in places (what do you expect after all that rain?). Marshalls were a bit thin on the ground during the easier stretches, not good news for the few folk who went down injured in those spots. I provided a helping hand for anyone I could who was stuck in the bogs or sliding down the hills and I hope the chap who fell over and got the horrible calf cramp just before the finish managed to get to the finishing line! Well done the soldiers/cadets for helping out and well done all the finishers!!
