In short: Like a re-enactement of the Somme. The thought of the cooked breakfast pulled me through. In full: Awesome race. Not for the faint hearted. Beautifully organised, but could we have less rain next year please. Date of review: October 16, 2013
In short: Mud, Rain, Slime, Mega-puddles but I still did a PB for the course :) In full: My knees and hips cant do 26m so I'm vey happy to get another bite at the 'LHH'. This is a course that rewards good training, and I love it. Its my longest run since aug12 when I tore my Achilles, and I did a PB, so I would be smug of course :) I might even have beaten the 1st lady if I hadn't gone aot in one of those puddlakes ! In short: Quite an experience! In full: Great area to run in and the event was spot on for its organisation and friendliness. The Marshalls were a joy to behold (especially on the way back!) Date of review: October 16, 2013
In short: Still the best marathon in the UK - even in the pouring rain In full: I have done all 5 of these events now. They are incredible. So glad I turned up in the rain to continue the streak. Here is my race report.
In short: One of the best, shame about the weather! In full: this is a fantastic race and very well organised. The out and back route is hilly, but runnable - definitely one of my favorites. the cooked breakfast at the end makes it all worth while. thanks to all the marshals for staying out so long in the rain!
