In short: Very off-road rather than 'multi-terrain' but enjoyable, watch our for the mountainous hills!

In short: Like a mini Terminator
In full: I knew about the hill because I cycle up the road route. But I didn't know they would find an even steeper ascent (twice). Plenty of mud and a nice tshirt too. Spot on, lets hope it's on again next year.

In short: Excellent Hilly Off Road New Race
In full: This was so well organised you would never know it was the first running, the course was beautiful and excellently marked if very tough and muddy, fantastic marshalls at every turn who were really encouraging, excellent T-Shirt, enough toilets with very limited queues only once or twice, wonderful village feel that made everyone welcome, great sponsor who took part and really contributed, wonderful location along the river test taking in part of the test way and finally a lovely cup of tea and the best post race cakes ever! Also note there are some fine pubs nearby for a post race pint. This has gone straight on my race calender for next year.

In short: My first Multi Terrain and my first 5 mile race....The last hill was a psychological killer
In full: Pretty intimidating for a beginner like myself, but with proper off road shoes and more preparation I'd like to aim for a better performance next year. The ascents are not to be taken lightly but watching buzzards soaring just above your head was terrific.

In short: Great fun !
In full: Put all thoughts of a PB well out of your mind and enjoy ! Very muddy, very hilly but great fun. First time I've ever walked in a race - near the start due to steep hill and queue of runners and at mile 4 where it was physically impossible (at least for everyone I saw). Trail shoes would be good if you have them but most people managed in ordinary runners, but don't bring your shiny new ones ! Organisation was great for the first time the race had been run. Marshalls were really encouraging - thanks to all of them (especially the guy at the bottom of 'the' hill who may have learned a few new words) and there was a great atmosphere at the finish. Nice tee-shirt and the bacon rolls and home-made cakes at the end rounded off a great morning. I'll be back .....

In short: Well organised XC race
In full: Like the other reviewer said, organisation was spot on. 2 BIG hills & pretty slippy due to all the mud, but really enjoyed it.
I also managed to get a small t-shirt, bonus! (swapped over by a lovely marshall)
