In short: Nice but...
In full: ... it would be good to organise the waves by abilities: if you're not in the first wave, forget about PB ambition, too many slow runners will slow you down in the first 2kms

In short: Lovely race
In full: This was my second time doing this, first being the 2010 Spring race. Lovely course, ok there are some narrow bits where it's a little tricky to overtake, but overall nice course, well organised. Managed to knock 3 mins off PB too! Good medal at the end. I'll be back next year!

In short: Flat, fast and great atmosphere, excellent for beginners
In full: I've done this one twice now, the 2 races in 2011. The Spring race was my first competitive race and a great introduction that gave me the bug.

The Autumn race this year had perfect weather, a friendly group of runners, a nice medal plus water, sweets and bananas at the end with no goody bag of tosh accompanying it.

I would definitely recommend it, even knocked 45 seconds off my PB.

In full: Nice course spoilt by slow runners setting off at the start of the field and then running 3 abreast down a narrow track whilst listening to ipods!!!

In short: Pretty good
In full: Nice route, good spectators with encouragement; appreciating a good sprint finish!

I liked it - if they could have got another 6 portaloos it would have been better but that was the only major gripe

In short: A beautiful run by the river
In full: The location may put off people travelling by public transport but this is in fact very easy to get to if you walk along the river which is a delightful warm up.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Organisation was fine except for that they needed more portaloos. The race started late which surprised me. But the queue was very slow moving.

It is delightful running along by the Thames and the route is really pretty. There is definite pb potential although this section of the river has a lot more gravel and uneven ground than others which does slow you down.

I very much enjoyed the race. I look forward to doing it again.

In short: Great views, up&down course, moderate organisation
In full: Any race in Greenwich Park has wonderful views and an up-and-down course. Because sections of the course overlapped, we were sometimes constarined to run single file, which could affect one's rhythm. The water stations were not well thought out - at 2k & 4k - and there weren't enough helpers. I would only have got water if I'd been prepared to stop & wait. A friendly stmosphere & very much a young persons' race.
