In short: A very respectable debut for this event!
In full: This rearranged run was very well organised.
All signs and mile markers were very clear and there were plenty of marshalls offering smiles and kind words on a very cold morning in Catforth. Not much to look at really but this is a course with definite PB potential. The only inclines were a couple of bridges across the M55 and a canal bridge right near the end. The field seemed to be very mixed with a friendly atmosphere but the rural nature of the run meant no spectators. The medal and bits and pieces at the end were good and the village hall was a nice base.
I certainly hope that this event happens again next year. My only small quibble would be that any postponement needs to be better advertised; with much a small field surely emails or text messages or calls could be made.

In short: A great half marathon.
In full: Really well organised race. Would never have guest it was the first attempt. Great course and really friendly. Lovely countryside and roads quiet.

In short: Cold start but great scenic route soon warmed us up.
In full: Only my 2nd Half Marathon and quite enjoyed the smaller field of people. Course was great although wastn't as flat as expected with a few tricky hills over motorways. Good that they had timer chips but only mats at the end of the course and not the beginning so times where not as acurate. All in all I really enjoyed the race and actually knocked 6mins off my first time.

In short: Well organised event.
In full: Big field to park in, toilets to do the business, good course, medal, choc bar, water, chance to get a butty and a brew. Not sure what more people could want but seemed like a good event to me.

In short: Enjoyable countryside PB course
In full: Moans first: I was one of the few who turned up on the original date because I received no notification that the race had been cancelled. As it was 120 mile round trip, I wasn't best pleased and thought about not coming today, but I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the route, mainly flat with a few undulations after mile 8 and generally a flyer of a course. I wasn't far off my PB, and if it hadn't been for a very painful blister, I think I could have smashed it here.
More toilet provision though next year please, and improved comunication by the race organiser.

In short: Despite the lack of training cos of snow - got a PB, so can't complain!!
In full: After the false start of the cancellation in January, I was panicking at not having got my miles on feet to run well today. However, the flat course, jokes from the starter and clapping of the marshalls got me round in a PB. The only complaint is that I have to set myself a new target for this year now..... but that's a nice complaint to have!

In short: Very fast race with great PB potential
In full: good friendly race, very flat and fast, well marshalled on quiet county lanes. Water, Mars bar, pair of socks and a medal at the end. I would have prefered a cup of tea and a cake. Knocked 7 mis off my PB, finishing in 1.32
