In short: Oh my life...! I have never experienced anything so disorganised!
In full: I think other runners have detailed it all already.Quite obvious that the organisers were not runners and had not considered the route for the volume of runners taking part. I only saw 3 marshalls along the way,and had a bit of a scare with a car which was signalled by a marshall to continue driving along the road I was crossing!! You've already herad it about the start, the bottleneck at the finish, the run around the solitary cone to double back....oh dear...not one to repeat with these organisers!

In short: Honestly the best race course of the year!!!
In full: Just joking...

1) What Queues? - About 200-300 metres long
2) 10 Toilets for 1500 odd runners? lucky I held on
3) Bang!! - What? it started??! better start running
4) water stop? Manage to grab one of the 100 plastic cup pre-filled. Don't know about the other 1400 cups to fill up by the 1 person who I felt sorry for.
5) Finish line? Oh..there it is! But it looks like a M25 traffic jam...oh dear

Highlight? Monica Galetti from Masterchef ran!

Now where are the results!

In short: Shamboic organisation ruined what should be a good race.
In full: Was really looking forward to this event. Good course, real PB potential.

Organisation was a farce however, race started late, unannounced, with people still in a queue at the bagdrop (note to organisers...2 marshalls to 1500 runners is not a good ratio). Water stop round the course was a farce, like an overcrowded pub, with one person actually pouring out cups of water (none pre-poured). Trying to overtake runners whilst avoiding getting hit by a car adds some variety, but not sure I want to do that again.

Crazy overcrowding at the end. Couldn't get over the finish line for the crowd of runners penned into a herd.

All in all the race fee taken was a joke given the shambolic organisation. Could have organised a better gathering and run with a Facebook/ Twitter post!!

In short: Nice flat route, going around a nice area
In full: Bit of a late start, and not much of a community atmosphere... no chatting/warm up at beginning. Route was well marked, very flat, and overall a good race.

In short: Terrible "Organisation"
In full: Nothing new to add to the long list of complaints just wanted to add weight to the numbers.

In short: Pathetic organisation... i have been robbed
In full: Not enough staff, the ones they had were unfriendly and unhelpful. LONG queues for chips, bag drops, and loos. Arrived at 8:50 for a 9:15 start, plenty of time you would think. Obviously not as the queues were ridiculous. A marshall came to assure us we would be fine as the start had been delayed. Standing in the baggage queue at half 9 and without any announcement the race starts with only half the competitors.

A complete shambles of a course along the main road. The marshalls had left knocked over traffic cones and road work barriers littering the already thin pavements. Marshalls were all miserable, apart from the guy just before the water station. Water station was only at 3k, and only staffed by one person, not even worth having. Couldnt even cross the finish line due to the bottleneck at the end.

Give me half an hour and a tenner, and i could organise a better race than this.

In short: Again I think everything has been said but I would urge everyone never to take part in an Energized sports event again
