In short: Nice and flat, PB potential
In full: Apart from the water being stolen a well organised race with PB potential, this was my fourth time and will be back next year. Well done Cleethorpes AC.

In short: Good race
In full: Fastish, flattish and times were on the notice board at the Cricket Club before we left!

The chap does a great job with his pre race speech (same guy as the monthly 5ks I think).

In response to the chap below who slates the race and in particular the leaving the water pre race. I sympathise with the organisers totally. Next year have barbed wire around the mile markers and snipers protecting the marshalls so that he gives you a better rating?

Only one negative for me was that if I hadn't gone back for the shower I wouldnt have known about the Tee shirts. No one at the finish advised me (or club mates) they were there!!

Still a great effort though

In short: Could try harder
In full: I last did this race in 1994. With plenty of experience of putting this race on, I thought the organising club (Cleethorpes AC) were going to put a 1st class race on - Wrong.
More info including course maps could have been put on the web. Quite a few runners didn't complete the full course. I don't know if it was poor marshalling, bad signage, lack of info, or a poorly thought out course or a combination of all the aforementioned.
The water for the drinks stations was dumped at the finish and midway points 1 1/2 hours before the event with no-one in attendance. I thought, that’s going to disappear - and so it did - stolen. Also what about adulteration? At the start, the runners were told if they couldn't run 10k without a drink not to run. Of course the water would be stolen if left unattended - wake up. Why couldn't someone get to Tesco's just up the road and buy some more? (other supermarkets are available). The only plus was that the price was about right.
The Race Director and his team need to put a lot more effort into this race if he wants me back in another 18 years time!

In short: A good race starting at a good time with potential for personal best
In full: This is the first year I had run this race and found the route nice and flat, lots of opportunity for spectators, not too cold and only a slight breeze.

It was a shame for the organisers that some rotter stole the water from the water station but this was not their fault.

I will be back!

In short: A superbly organised race which could start your New Year off with a PB!
In full: A great race which was well organised. Pretty flat so definite PB potential assuming you avoided the Xmas mince pies and NYE exuberances. Superb value as it also included a very nice tech t-shirt. Well done Cleethorpes AC.

In short: Great way to kick start the New Year if you stayed of the 'pop' the night before.
In full: Good organisation. Well supported by all the local clubs almost approx.500 runners.
Good support on first 2 small laps and at finish.
Pity the bottles of water were stolen from mid way point - security will need to be tightened next year!
The course has PB potential and is pretty flat but the strength of wind a major factor but stayed fine this year.
Good tech t-shirt. Will return again. Good event.
