In short: Brilliant race - great organisation and lovely route In full: Great route - nice balance of challenge and fun. Wind was tough this year, but still beat my best for this course. Organisation was brilliant, and a big thanks must go to the marshalls, who had to put up with the wind and rain in parts, but still kept smiling! Great race organised by, and supported by the local community. Thanks. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: a great race made average by plastic cups In full: i thought everything was spot on exept the fact of being given out those stupid cups. pls get bottles next year, i wouldn't mind paying the extra £2.
bit to windy to hope for a p.b today but its def a p.b course.
nice medal, sports drink n chocolate at finish. Date of review: January 23, 2012
In short: Fairly tough, but well worth it In full: Very windy and undulating. It's a challenging race, but very satisfying. The climbs aren't too bad, as long as you've kept a bit in reserve and not run flat out. I managed a PB. The marshall's were great - I'm not sure if I'd like to stand in the middle of a road in violent winds for 2 hours being a human cone. The organisation is great, and I really appreciated the support from marshalls and local residents. Can't wait for next year. Date of review: January 22, 2012
In short: Very very windy, 2 mins off my PB but enjoyed this race yet again, thanks to the marshalls for braving the weather...unsung heroes, will be back yet again next year Date of review: January 22, 2012
In short: Third consecutive running of this excellent half marathon. In full: Very well organised half marathon which, for good reason, has become very popular. Undulating but still a quick course. Better start this year than 2011.Great Marshalling and pretty good local support considering a lot of race is rural. Pity about the strong gusting wind that made the going tough at times. Would thoroughly recommend this race and hopefully will be at the start line in 2013. Date of review: January 22, 2012
