In short: this is my return to marathons after 15 years, I was very slow but everyone made me feel as special as the winner, the friendlyest crowd I have ever met. Very tough but enjoyable course. if you like them hard give this one a go n

In short: Scenic, challenging, friendly and brilliantly organised
In full: A brilliantly organised day with several excellent races. A beautiful course - I did the Half - and yes, there are hills, but what do you expect in that part of the country. Great marshalls and police who were encouraging and friendly, and a great medal and momento. The finish line was fabulous due to the great music and commentary. Don't miss this next year.

In short: My first marathon and very enjoyable!
In full: Anyone who encorporates hills in to their training would find this a breeze. There are some previous comments from runners who may put people off, my friend and I found it really enjoyable, there are only two hills and quite a lot including the last 5 miles of each lap was meandering down hill, which really made it quite easy! I'd like to see more people in the Southwest join up for this marathon and stop moaning about a couple of hills, after all if you train in Devon or Cornwall there are plenty of them!

In short: Great course, lovely scenery but two tough hills. Very friendly day out.
In full: Had a wonderful day. Everyone was so friendly. This was our first competition race and we were made to feel really welcome and it was so well organised. The course was great with some lovely scenery from the top of the hills. The main issue was running up the hills to see the view. Two very challenging hills. all the marshals and police were so encouraging. I would recommend this race to anyone.

In short: Is this one of the friendliest marathons?
In full: Brilliant organisation, superb marshalls, great support, especially for my glorious last place - still a PB though! Thanks so much to all who put in the time and effort to make this a delightful run. Lovely medal too. Hills schmills!

In short: Couple of hardcore hills but the downhill made up for it! I enjoyed this race so much. Great marshalling, good atmosphere, hot showers at the end. Roll on next year!!
