In short: Tough but enjoyable
In full: My first trail run I have taken part in and was it hard. Didn't help that I misread it was 10 miles rather then 10k. Despite my aching muscles the scenery was lovely and marshalling very supportive. Well done to everyone, i'll be back.

In short: Great event, I'll run it agailn and recommend it to to all who like off road events.
In full: Great venue, the course was well thought out, well marked and with excellent marshalling. But for £12 I would expect the medal to have the name of the event on it, and for there to be prizes for the winners.

In short: Superb inaugural event
In full: A no frills challeging off roader with pleasant rugged scenery. Route is well marked out with plenty of marshals with a nice friendly atmosphere despite the rain.

In short: Stunning scenery & treacle [oops sand!]
In full: Amazing run with just the right amount of hills, sand, mud, sand, rocks, roots & yet more wet sandy hills. Yippie. Thoroughly enjoyable trail run. Thanks to the fab marshals in halloween masks for being so cheery despite the weather. Well done BVR.

In short: A very enjoyable, well organised race set in beautiful countryside
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this race which was extremely well organised, clearly mapped out and credit to the marshals for putting on a fine show in the drizzling rain!

In short: Great race, shame about the weather! Nice to see people in the Halloween sprit.
In full: Great feel to the run and well organised for a first race. Loved that fact that the marshals were in fancy dress and happy despite the rain. Trick or treat bags at the end were a nice touch. Please do it again next year but turn off the rain for a few hours!!

In short: Fine new fixture for autumn cross country running
In full: Very good organisation with plenty of dutiful, Halloween themed marshalls along this fine course which is an attractive distance variation from the typical 10ks. The sand makes it interesting and comfortable if a bit heavy going in places. Fine autumn scenary with light yellows contrasting against the green heather. Plenty of effort had also been put into markers and Halloween decoration along the way; however the distance markers appeared to vanish after 6 miles or maybe I was getting tired, so it became a bit uncertain as to pace. Unfortunately the rain around finish time compromised much socialising. The running field also spreads out considerably, so you can be running quite alone. But overall a fine autumn cross country run, well devised/organised, worth entering and returning for.
