In short: 500m too short and I don't even appear on list of finishers!!
In full: If I wanted to jog round Norman Park then I could do so for free- why on earth did I need to pay ten quid for the privilege? There were barely any marshals and just a few cones to mark the way.

I did not even appear in the list of finishes- the only silver lining was that since the race was not even the correct distance my time anyway would have been pretty meaningless.

Runner's World should never advertise this race again: the only word to describe the race organizer is a "conman"- get lots of people to enter the race (good time for preparation for Spring Marathon), pocket the cash and do less than the bare minimum on the day.

In short: Try events with a running club connection
In full: Most reviews refer to short distance and poor organisation it is a pity that this spoilt the run for many.
Unfortunately the Bromley 10k was not organised by or connected to any of the local running clubs, so no reason to call on Bromley and Blackheath Harriers to sort things out however there appears to be demand for a local 10k at this time of year in this area so perhaps some of the local clubs may take note and organise something for next year.

I would always recommend that you check runners world for reviews of previous events by organisers and whether or not they have a connection with or support of a running club.

It is also worth noting that parkrun organise a free to enter, timed, 5k run every Saturday morning in Norman Park, run entirely by volunteers with a regular attendance of over 100 runners of all abilities. It might be muddy or even snowy but always good fun and very well organised.

In short: Not quite the full distance and seemed a bit hit and miss if you got a recorded finish but glad I put my trainers on and entered..

In short: Improvements could be made...
In full: The race started well around the athletics ground. Once out of the ground, it was 4 laps round Norman park, which was ok, but a bit repetitive. Plus the park was pretty muddy!

The organisation could have been better. There were no signs to the ground/parking. They didn't have an 8k sign to show runners on the way round and it was poor that they ran out of medals!
