In short: superb start to the year once again In full: tough tough race. great atmosphere around the course with lots of support from competitors and people lining the course despite chilly weather. fantastic fancy dress. throughly exhausting, but uplifiting run. very sore today, the day after the race.
In short: Muddy, friendly, ridiculous fun! In full: I was nervous about this one having walked up and down Box Hill before - but running? However finished in surprisingly respectable time and really enjoyed myself. Everyone from the fastest runner to the most "dolled up", the marshalls and bemused new years day picnicers were very encouraging!
Thank you everyone! I will be back possibly as something other than Bumble Bee - Buzzzzzzz away! Date of review: January 2, 2009
In short: Fantastic 'race' to start the year with... In full: Dont be put off by the £27 entry fee, it most deffinetley woth every single penny...for the following reasons: When do you get to run through the countryside with the 'cast' of Wizard of OZ? Where do you get such great cameradery amongst fellow 'competitors'? Where do you get great organisation and Marshalls? Answer, The BoxHill Knacker cracker...Well done to Rob and his team for a great race...
Oh yeah, and how many races do you finish and get a great medal, a great mug, a great t-shirt (complete with your name on the back), soup, cheese and pickle rolls and mars bars....???? Date of review: January 1, 2009
In short: Another excellent start to a year! In full: Well done to Rob and his team for organising yet another great Knacker Craker. My horse (or maybe donkey?!) and I followed the cast of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz round the course - a great effort by all of them! Date of review: January 1, 2009
In short: The marshalling was great and everyone, runners, marshals, spectators were all very encouraging. Very well marked course, with a little humour thrown in, it started the year off well. Date of review: January 1, 2009
In short: Not just the toughest, but the best 10k in Britain! In full: What a great day - A seriously hard 10k but fantastic atmosphere, perfect for New Year's Day, excellent value for money - looking foward to posing round the office next week with my "Britain's Toughest 10k" mug - Extremely highly recommeded. My favourite 10k. When can I book up for next year? Date of review: January 1, 2009
In short: Do it! In full: Your choices: You can strike out and go as fast as you can on this tough course - ridiculous. Or you can wear fancy dress for the toughest 10k in the country and spend the run having fun and struggling to keep your footing whilst dressed as whatever takes your fancy, also ridiculous. Or you do do something in the middle - a compromise that no Trionium runner would ever consider. So whatever you choose, it will be a ridiculous way to start your New Year, but what fantastic fun! Brilliant organisation and fab fun fun fun! Get your name on the back of the 2010 T shirt - it's a must. Date of review: January 1, 2009
