In short: Hard course but great fun
In full: I'll do more hill work the next time because my impression was that the first 21 miles was either up hills or down them (shouldn't really be a surprise for the area I suppose). This is a fabulous day out (and weekend away)-well organised and unique-I liked the convoy of buses to the start in the middle of nowhere.

In short: Better than last time!
In full: Good weather both times I've taken part.
A much bigger field than 2002, the 1st time I entered & I think this helped. It wasn't so lonely. Hope it doesn't get too big, may ruin it!!

In short: a definite PB course... if it's your 1st marathon.
In full: a beautiful day for my 1st big 'un. ignoring all forecasts the sun shone on an undulating course. we ran downhill for a bit, flat for a bit, up a big hill for a big bit, dowhill for a bit, then home, glorious home. great support from the villagers en route, well spaced water/juice stops, great chat, and a tasty goody bag (espesh if you like beetroot pieces).
