In short: Happy as a pig in ......
In full: Much as i enjoyed this race i was a bit annoyed when we were told the course was ok and it was not to muddy only to find out it was a bloom-in mud bath ! I would have worn my trail shoes if i had known. Still, the marshals were ace and a great selection of cakes were on offer at the end.

In short: a great race
In full: i tend not to run races that i have run in the past except for a select few, and this is one of them. i really enjoy this race, last year it was boiling hot, this year was a x-country in july. a good medal plus the homemade cakes at the end what more could you ask for. today was a real race with real runners taking on the course it was muddy and hard going in places but that is what its all about. driving home nobody was worried about their times we had all enjoyed a great race which is what itis about. well done wadhurst runners another great event and if i only run one race next year it will be yours, thanks again manage to convert three mates today so i am sure they will be back next year as well.

In short: A good mixed terrain race with hill climbs and mud slides
In full: An of road race that starts in Wadhurst and circles the lake in one large lap.
The garden of England Kent ensured a foliage full race.Path, track
and Road with strident Oak and Sycamore a veritful bouquet of greenery filled the senses on this damp day.
Yesterdays storm clouds had left a slippery surface so it was not the day for PBs.Good trainers essential the surface required concentration.
The course itself is not a difficult one if the conditions are right. There is a couple of strong hill climbs in the last five miles but we had the benefit of this between 5-10 mile in a gradual decline.
The finish is great cake and water.I declined the rich array of home cooking but it looked most welcoming and is appreciated.
A sponsored goody bag from Hiscox with water bottle Bannanna, three Jaffa Cakes,Leather baggage label,Nikwax cleaner,
great medal ensured this was a very good value race.
What a descent bunch of marshalls too.Yes an excellent challenge.
Bewl with boating, fishing, woodland adventure child play area, complete with resturant and Panoramic Vista meant that this is one to bring a group for the day out.Bike hire available for those who need to occupy siblings and there is a magnificent back drop to this race.

In short: Would love to do this one when its dry.
In full: My first year this year, and I have to admit the mud got to me! My thanks must go out to those around me who were supportive after i went *rse over t%t twice within a mile. If it was me I would have wet myself at the fool slidin' around!
On another note, maybe i'm a masochist, but i loved the hills on the road and the generally tough course.
I was very impressed by the organisation, and the ever enthusiastic marshals and spectators!
And of course my thanks must go out to those wonderful ladies who provided the cakes at the end, it was sorely needed!
