In short: Very enjoyable and well organised for a brand new event
In full: Fantastic views of the Gower Peninsula (not that I'm biased!)Great inaugural event - super marshalls, very encouraging especially at the windy bits of the course! Only down side was finding Llanelli leisure centre which will not be able to support a much larger field, although great to have a decent shower straight afterwards. However, if the organisers do wish to cater for up to a 1000 runners in future they'll have to rethink the start and use the big car park opposite Coleg Sir Gar.

In short: This is a must do Half Marathon - well done to the organisers
In full: This is one of those events that should be on everyone’s race calendar. Everything about it was superbly organised and ran as smooth as clockwork. The course was perfect, safe and traffic free, had plenty of water stations (I counted 4) and even had Portaloo’s dotted around the course should you need one.

The marshals were extra special; the encouragement given was excellent. The food voucher was another plus; sausage and chips was just what the doctor ordered after 13.1 miles.

To all the organisers and marshals thank you for a fantastic day and I will definitely be back for 2007.

In short: An excellant event which will grow in popularity
In full: Very pleasant run along a generally flat landscaped coastal park with great views on the Gower penninsla, distant Atlantic, estuary and beaches. The 'up & back' nature of the course could annoy some and would mitigate against a very large entry (this was limited to c 250). The wind will always be a factor in this location which will make parts tough when strong.

In short: fast, cold, sunny, windy last 3miles but got a PB!!
In full: Really surprised today as flew round, it seemed flatter than the 10K, must be the small crowd this year, next year it will be very busy but will be there!!!! Enjoyed, even last 3 miles with a headwind pretty strong, great, well done to all organises and fabulous marshalls, real support at every corner!!! Thanks so much.

In short: Pity they couldn't sort the wind out...
In full: Would have more of an atmosphere if there were more people, but very good considering it's its first year. The second out and back bit felt a bit long, especially against the wind (but I guess that's not their fault). Nice mostly flat course though, and the marshalls were GREAT.

In short: A good race - friendly atmosphere, a little small for the slower runner
In full: This was a well organised race, especially as it was the first time it was held. Plenty of friendly encouraging marshalls. The only downsides were the wind - which is always going to be a feature of this race because of the venue. Also, there was a distinct lack of direction signs for those people driving in. To be fair, the organisers sent out clear directions - but, the road names were not to be seen!

I would certainly recommend it - especially if there is a bigger field in the future.

Oh - and many thanks for the food voucher, I wouldn't normally eat greasy chips from a van, but today it was very very welcome!!
