In short: The course "wasn't hard enough" - according to the Event organiser Dr Rob - He is insane...
In full: After an hour of slogging up and down hills, Some nice pedestrians warned me it was slippy on the steps - I yelled back "I've just come down them thanks, I'll be ok" - and then I fell over in the mud. That pretty much sums it up - I had a bad dream last night about hills...

I loved this event - good things don't come cheap, but it's not criminally priced - most of your entry goes to charity and you get massive value for money (and a unique momento and very cool medal this year). It's probably one of the top 3 friendliest races I've run.

I downloaded the long video - which is great, and as an added bonus if you watch it on fast forward it sound like an episode of "Morph".

In short: Fantastic and challenging way to start the new year
In full: Great event, terrific location, fanastic marshalls & organisation- a real sense of achievement on finishing this race and the post-race carrot is such an incentive to keep going up those hills.

In short: Very hard - the concept of adding just 25% to your 10km time is just plain wrong!

In short: Second only to the Midsummer Munro for "hardness"
In full: The steepness of the hills and the beautiful scenery are what make this race both challenging and enjoyable. The organisers and marshalls enthusiam make this race special.

In short: This will definitely become an annual event on our race calender. Dr. Rob has done a fantastic job!
In full: This race is not for the faint of heart - it was the toughest race I have ever seen, let alone done. You are going up or down almost all the way and the steepness is crazy in places.
That said, it would be hard to find a better race if this is your cup of tea. A small, friendly field, well organised, fantastic scenary and a wonderful atmosphere.
A marvellous antidote to the mass road races - a breath of fresh air!

In short: Its 5 times over Boxhill. Respect anyone who manages to run up all of them!
In full: This is a great race to do if you are interested in your anatomy....I guarantee that come the next day you'll be able to pinpoint each individual muscle in your lower body and quite a few in your upper body as well. I suspect this race to become very popular and grow over the years, which will be a bit of a shame but I'll have another crack(er) at it next year and try to run up the first 4 hills. The last one is plain impossible to run up unless you're a gazelle.
