In short: LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!
In full: Fantastic race in a wonderful settting. The start was uphill and the finish was brutal but it left me with a huge grin on my face.

The organisation was excellent and the goody bag was probably the best of any race I have attended. The t-shirt is one I will definitely wear again.

And they had a Redwood Creek wine tent with free samples and you could buy a case for £25 in stead of £45 - bargain.

What's not to like? Already looking forward to next year.

In short: my first race. Loved it
In full: Lovely place, great organisation, super-friendly marshalls - don't know what they are usually like, but the marshalls at this event have certainly set an extremely high standard for other races to live up to. Glorious setting, liked the challenging ground. Thought the hillyness was just right. Oh, and as it was my first, I obviously got a PB...

In short: Fantastic race!
In full: Hadn't really trained for this, so that prob explains why I found it a bit 'challenging', but absolutely loved it! Great course, organisation, freebies, etc, etc, etc.
Shows how races can and should be run!
Will def be back next year.

In short: Really well run, delivered all it promised. Brilliant venue, great people.
In full: Organisation was the best I have been to. Stewards were great and friendly. Dry weather made the course VERY firm but there you go. Course well marked out and a very pleasant run, apart from the last hill to the finish!! The only glitch all day was the lady running the bouncy castle who rudely told my grandson he wasn't allowed on because it was closed. She spoilt his day but we had a great family time, picnic by the lake, playground etc.

In short: Superbly-organised race with lots for the family to do
In full: Excellent organisation from the moment you arrive on site until it's time to leave at the end of the day. The wave-system worked well and ran like clockwork. Great marshalls. Bouncy castle and climbing wall kept the children happy. Bit of a climb towards the end, but a great day and I'm looking forward to next year.

In short: Cracking day out for all!
In full: Pricey race but that is really offset b y the magnificent scenery and great atmosphere the day provided. Lots of goodies and nice feel. Glad the rain stayed away otherwise things might have been different.
Course was challenging and very firm under foot with ankle twisting potential (saw a few hobbling at the end). Course would have been intersting if it had rained but so glad it didn't. Lovely scenery and wholly encouraging marshalls helped me to a respectable time in the mid forties. Lovely day out with my family watching, definite one for the calendar next year!

In short: Wonderful scenery, superb organisation and great goody bag
In full: A great day out for all the family, free bouncy castle and climbing wall. 50% off Gore and Ronhill clothing, lovely food that was reasonably priced, wine tasting, beer tent, free goodness shakes.... Oh did I mention a run ? A beautiful 10k through pine trees, some hills (quite a few up and down bits) but nothing too horrible, put in to the mix friendly, encouraging marshals, well manned water stops and sunshine.

The registration was very smooth, no queues, fun warm up. Starting in waves was a good idea it kept congestion to a minimum.

I don't mind paying a bit more for a race if it is as well organised as this one and the t-shirt actually fits and is one I will wear ! It was also nice that the food and drink was not as expensive as some other events I have been to.

Overall I think it was the friendliness of the marshals that deserves a special mention, by the time I went round hundreds of people had been round before me yet they were still shouting words of encouragement, clapping, smiling and waving. It does make a real difference :)

In short: Really well organised, lovely scenery, reasonably challenging route.
In full: Bedgebury is a lovely setting to have a trail run and the event was really very well organised. The atmosphere was friendly, everything was easy to find, the goodie bag at the end was full of goodies and the event shop had some excellent bargains. Course wasn't overly challenging but I managed to make heavy work of it and the hill at the end makes you work for your medal! Would definitely do it again but next time a bit faster!

In short: Really well organised race
In full: This was only my 6th organised race and despite the higher than average entry price it was definitely worth it. Home territory on the trails and lovely course (we always seem to run it in the opposite direction so lots more downhill stretches on race day!). Great organisiation, goody bag and loved the post-race massage. Liked the phased start and although I was in the biggest group, it was wide enough to accomodate us all without congestion. Loved it and will be back!

In short: Great organization and excellent race
In full: Definitely do this race again. Very well organized, great venue, free for goodness shakes drinks, half price Gore and Ronhill gear. Really enjoyed the race and it was a good idea to go off in waves as this kept the crowds down, very family friendly as well. I'll be back!
