In short: Terrible weather, great course and atmosphere
In full: Marshalls were brilliant - rain didn't stop throughout yet marshalls were all supportive, cheerful and friendly! Great start and finish venue. Well organised, excellent scenery - shame the weather didn't allow us to appreciate it. And a free long sleeved t-shirt at the end - what more could you want! Maybe total road closures would make this perfect. Well done Marlow Striders!

In short: The marshals did an excellent job in terrible weather conditions and the organizers came up with a very sensible work-around to avoid difficulties with race numbers etc. being held up by the postal strike.

In short: Hilly and very wet
In full: The race was impacted by attrocious weather this year with large parts of the course flooded. Still its well organised, very hilly, people are very friendly. The water was undrinkable at 4 miles. Its always a challenge to do the Marlow - but its well worth it - though dont expect a PB.

In short: Could it have been any wetter?!
In full: Not sure that at the time I enjoyed the atrocious weather, hills, and flooded roads! However after a long hot shower I'm now looking back with a deep sense of satisfaction on completing the toughest half marathon I've done to date. A big thank you to the Striders for excellent organisation and to the Marshalls for keeping up the encouragement on a very soggy day!

In short: Puddle splashing!!
In full: The predicted rain arrived bang on cue and turned this challenging race into a bit of a monster! Driving rain, strong winds, slippery leaves, and plenty of road wide puddles, ankle deep in places! So, great fun in the Chiltern hills!

As so many people have said already, a massive thanks to Marlow Striders and all the cheerful marshalls for their support in foul conditions.

The instant time board at the finish line is an excellent resource, always nice to see one's name and time up there.

Only grumble is the high price for instant coffee and £2 muffins at the food tent.

In short: Looking forward to doing it in sunshine next year
In full: Well done to the marshals who stayed cheery in awful conditions. That was SO wet. Half the skin on my toes has fallen off. Maybe the council could be persuaded to sort out the road drainage a bit in a couple of places? If you were there, you know where I mean.

In short: Tough race not for the faint hearted!
In full: Wow what a morning, it could have been very easy to have stayed in bed on a day like to today. Despite the weather, the floods and those hills, it was an excellent race! Many thanks to the marshalls who cheered us on and to those involved in organising the race. Great event and top, thanks!bg
