In short: Very well organised and friendly race in great location In full: Really enjoyed this race, even though the uphill section on the way back was pretty hard going. Organisation was excellent and the marshalls were superb too. First race I have been to where there have been no queues for the toilet as well! Well done VOARC and thanks for a great evening race. Will definately be back next year. Date of review: July 17, 2008
In short: Gorgeous setting In full: This was my 1st visit here and I enjoyed the opportunity to drive the course before the race to gauge the steepness of the hill. I used both water stations on the way up and would even have used a third had there been one. Thank you to all the marshalls/helpers and the Trust. I really enjoyed the evening. In short: a game of two halves In full: Could you arrange to have the stately home moved to the bottom of the hill so that we can get a negative split? Great location, scenery, organisation etc. See you in 2008. Date of review: July 21, 2007
In short: Loved the race!!! In full: Fantastic race!!! I absolutely loved the race again this year!!!! I came in last again this year but I really loved the race. All the marshalls were very friendly and positive!!! I particularly enjoyed the last few hundred metres when everyone clapped me in!!! The organisation was fantastic and everything ran like clockwork.
No complaints from me!!! Loved the race! Will be here again next year!!! Date of review: July 20, 2007
In short: Challenging course in beautiful setting In full: This out and back course takes you steadily downhill for the first 2K, which of course means that you climb steadily uphill after the turn-around point, with a lap of the manor house to finish with. If - like me - you thrive on hills, it's just perfect! And even if hills aren't your favourite thing, there's plenty of glorious scenery for distraction. The setting is perfect, and organisation is great. Well worth the drive out - a lovely way to spend a weekday summer evening. Date of review: July 20, 2007
