In short: very enjoyable race, great weather
In full: My first Half Marathon.
very enjoyable race, great weather - glorious sunshine and blue skys. Lovely scenic route through the city and along the seafront.
I do agree with others that the zig-zag at the end was not good, but that is my only critism.
I hope to be back next year to improve my time!

In short: A rip off and a lousy course
In full: I wasn't impressed with the race. The first drink station was a shambles as the water hadn't been poured into the cups. The last three miles was a pointless demoralizing zig zag which could have been overcome by going out and back along the undercliff park. Goody bag - ok we got one but it was just a collection of postcards advertising charities, a space blanket and a squirrel bar tasting like cardboard. The entry fee was a joke - £20 for a half marathon is well OTT.
Won't be doing it again.

In short: Fantastic race
In full: 6 seconds slower than my previous time so delighted to hear comments regarding distance.
My friend (who finished only 5 mins after me) was told the medals had run out! That was the only factor that gives the organisation a 4 instead of 5. Overall great organisation and a fantastic day out.

In short: Good fun, beautiful weather
In full: I don't have the means to measure the distance, so it's interesting to hear that it was apparently over distance. This was my first half-marathon - hopefully they don't all involve slaloming past cyclists, kids' buggies and fellow competitors. And I still can't drink from a cup while jogging. Bottles would be nice.

In short: Can they ever get this measured spot on??
In full: Agree with previous comments - they've changed the course over the past few years and still its over distance!

Still though, as was proved with the sun shining today, this can be a real picturesque and astetically pleasing race!! I loved the different stages of the course (through the town, along the promenade, switchbacks through the marina), but I actually found this tougher than the Brands race 1 week ago - probably due to the high mileage in-between.

Would def do it again though.

P.s - Medals are still utterly crap!!!!

In short: Too long but great otherwise..
In full: Was at least .1 of a mile too long. My Garmin came in at 13.2. Think it was the first mile marker which was wrong. Still PB potential but really it's not difficult to measure a course right!
Nice course in one of my favourite towns in the country. Well organised.
Didn't enjoy running down the cliff as it was far too steep, uphills weren't anything to worry if you've done over halfs.
Lovely day for it thankfully, couldn't have asked for any more from the weather.
Minimal improvements and this could be a fantastic race.

In short: The band near the start were good, sun was shining, no hiccups, decent goodie bag, would do it again!

In short: Course was longer than 13.1 miles
In full: I just hope nobody ran this close to their PR, because if so, they wouldn't have gotten it considering the couse was actually 13.26 miles long. I still got a PR by 45 seconds, however per my Garmin, I should've PR'd by nearly 2 minutes.
Beautiful and varied course though.
Would definitely do again (as long as the organizers promise to measure the course correctly!)
