In short: Apart from the weather which I believe wasn't included in the registration fee, a fantastic race!

In short: An excellent half marathon & with the stadium finish it makes it very memorable. Route would be 5* if not for the do leg at the end.

In short: Excellent race despite the bad weather
In full: The race was very good organised. It was flat and easy for the begginers. The people of Reading really support us. The finish in the stadium was great. The only problem was the weather especially after the race.
I hope one day to run again the reading half marathon.

In short: great run...pity about the atrocious weather
In full: fifth time doing this and this is the first time it has ever rained, so i have got away with it lightly but boy did the weather really bite me on the bum today. same route and same great organisation makes this a great race, and of course the finish in the madejski stadium really helps to keep you going. my one gripe for this years race was the water bags which were given out instead of bottles.i was wearing gloves as it was so cold and found it very difficult to open the damn things up, especially with wet gloves...please revert back to bottles!!! not my best time ever this year but i have to say being drenched from start to finish did not help my enthusiasm. but apart from that i'll be back again next year!!!

In short: A great, well organised, fast half marathon
In full: Despite the horrendous weather this was another great year for the Reading half. The people of Reading braved the rain and were out in droves to support us. Thank you!

In short: Nice in places
In full: Think the weather today had a major impact on the day.
Scenery was a bit bland, and it wasn't as flat as described.
Lack of marshall (again, blame the weather).
Spectators were really good.
Last mile and half, seem to go on forever!!!

In short: Great event again
In full: This was my 5th year running Reading - weather was hideous but the support as ever was absolutely magnificent. Crowds came up en masse to cheer, encourage and applaud. Love this race - by far my best half marathon on the racing calendar. Always makes me smile as you hit the second hill at mile 7 that the "real ale" drinks station is always there - maybe one year I may try??!!
Couple of points also made by others - I was also trying to run my second sub 1.30 and for the second year the race pacer was sporadic in his pacing - he again overtook me at mile 5 and then proceeded to accelerate away. I managed to have him in my sight at mile 10 and overtook him just before mile 12. At the finish I estimated I was some 45 seconds ahead of him but my time was confirmed as 1.31. Again I know this is not the fault of the organisers but could the race pacers (particularly the 1.30) ensure they run their pace band?
I could find no-where to change and get warm after - again not the fault of the organisers as in previous years the conditions were glorious.
In summary - if you haven't run Reading then do - it is a fantastically well organised event and the run in to the Madejski Stadium is so uplifting. A colleague of mine ran his first half marathon after starting running 3 months ago and was nervous about it but has not stopped raving about it. Well done Reading and thanks to all the stewards and supporters - you, as ever did an awesome job! Until next year....

In short: A Class Act!
In full: This was my fourth Reading Half and it didn't disappoint. Always well-organised, friendly and, when compared to some other 'city' Half Marathons, good value.
The weather today was challenging but, as always, the support was uplifting and thank goodness for marshals who are prepared to stand out for hours in the wet and the cold!Without them, the race couldn't take place - Thank you!
